I'd be surprised if BBM could bring in 5 quality players just after losing 10 million quid in revenue but you never know !
If we do keep basically the same squad as last season and we could bring in one or two players a new keeper would be on my shopping list[/QUOTE]
City fans will fall into this trap. It's going be hard , hopefully not humiliating.

We lost £10m in income but saved about the same in wages for the players whose contracts weren`t renewed.
This coming season is not so much about transfer fees but player wages payable as we are restricted to 60% of turnover under the EFL financial restrictions rather than the Championship ones based on profitability.
Re: As of today, do you think.................
Players have left and no one has been brought in to replace them yet. The squad is weaker.

Keith, as a guide to where we find ourselves, would you be able to give us the wages to turnover proportion in the latest published accounts which, I presume, are for 23/24?

Maybe the club should employ Kanga”s agent to help move out some of our underperforming players
Back to the original question, obviously weaker and the sooner we get a few players in with the right character the better
We lack leadership on the pitch and players who can battle
We have too many bottlers and in League One we need more battlers

If we don't know how we are going to do how can they, they probably take a ten minute look on here and other boards then guess, the bookies have us 2nd.
BBM's target is top six or the sack, we will soon see what he's like it looks like he's got a lot of responsibilty now leading the transfer comitee.
Re: As of today, do you think.................
With Ralls, Rino, and Rambo leaving, we will lose grit, experience, and leadership. The others have done us a favour.
As it stands, I would say, Robinson, Salech, CO'D, Rubin, Chambers, Robertson, & Turnbull are all championship players. if we keep them with the kids it will be too much for most L1 teams, assuming BBM lives up to the hype and knows what he is doing.
We need two wingers, real flyers. Tanner and Davies spend more time in the physio's room. Ashford is better inside, but BBM may play him as an inside forward
I'd be surprised if CO'D, Robinson & Robertson start the season.
Re: As of today, do you think.................
We need a commanding goalkeeper, an experienced centre half, a gritty centre midfielder and maybe someone who can actually pass the ball to a teammate !

We'll go nowhere with Dalman and Choo still running things

we were ranked 4'th from bottom with 46.6% for average possession and scored 48 goals last season . Luton ,Plymouth and Pompey below us Leeds won the league with 61 % average possession over the season
Brum won league 1 with 56 % average possession last season
Will be a tall order to get anywhere near that level of possession based footie this season with the current squad
so the morale of the story both the winners of the championship and league 1 won there respective leagues with the highest possession stats
Hopefully BBM will bring more passing possession based footie this season

Kanga was the signing that sent us down

With no sign whatsoever of players coming in, we're in a position where we're relying on untried youngsters stepping up seamlessly into the squad and our new manager, and the one person he's brought in with him, being able to improve the players already here to maintain the standards which proved to be not good enough last season.
Yet, so many seem to think that we are going to be top six challengers - I don't see it at the moment. I'm not falling for this one!

I think the summer window was a disaster. He was by far the worst though.

kanga, el Ghazi, Ramsey, maybe even chambers
all signed to be top level players for us, but for various reasons didn't perform
