Daily Mail reporting that Vincent Tan “is open” to a deal with the Gareth Bale consortium. They say this offer will be rejected, though “it could well be completed soon”

If this offer comes with the caveat ‘you can keep everything from the Sala case’ then I think they may only be about £10m-£15m apart.

Is it all true? Who knows, but £85 million seems like an overvaluation to me - I'm no expert, but I'd be amazed if Tan got an offer higher than that.
85 million for a league 1 club, wow I think the jacks went for less in the PL…..

Details are sparse.
Is it the club AND all assets? Retaining any sponsorship? Any rights?
Either way as much as I’ve been in the minority of an advocate of Vincent Tan I think now is the right time to close this chapter and people to move on.

Dalman's job as a director of Cardiff City Football Club Ltd include considering the consequences of long term decisions, and acting in the best interests of the company and promoting its success.
I can't see how him continuing to run a company in a way that has lowered its potential income, whilst at the same time increasing what he is owed, fits those statutory obligations.

He has undoubtedly done a good job for Ken Choo's employment

Bale consortium "optimistic their bid could be accepted". Does anyone else think it's beginning to sound as if Gareth Bale might be more than just a figurehead for the consortium if they did buy out Vincent Tan?

Personally, I think from a single statement that was made by Bale a few weeks ago, that a lot of speculation “news” is being spun out. Who is leaking this news? The Malaysians won’t, Bale is out of the country, the consortium members are unknown. The Times journo went first yesterday and the others are using his Twitter article. I don’t think there’s any new news.

I don't know, the Daily Mail article added a little bit and now this one has. On balance, I'd say you're probably right, but it seems pretty clear which side is using the media to further their cause and you can't blame them really. They know having Bale on board gives them a massive PR advantage as, even if Tan and the Board, have valid and reasonable reasons for turning a bid down from this consortium, it's only going to make an unpopular owner and club hierarchy even more disliked by what I'd guess would be a pretty large majority of City fans than they are now.

Makes the 2,5 mill that Ryan and Rob paid for Wfc an amazing investment.

Bale should have waited till the current inept trio took us to whatever’s below the national league, could have got us for about the same as Wrexham :hehe:
