Callum O'Dowda signs for Ferencváros

Sorry to see him go but not too concerned.
Aside from his injuries I was never sure that we were getting the best from him playing at full back or as a winger. He’d become a hybrid.
He always tried hard and that was even more obvious when he wore the captains armband.

2 goals and 3 assists isn't at all bad for a fullback in a team that didn't score many.

Think he was our most consistent and workmanlike player last season, and probably our best until Salech showed up, as much as that's damning with faint praise. Unless we've got some signings coming through that door, I'm not sure how this can really be spun as a positive.

I wonder if he got a release clause put in when he signed the new contract in January

Yes I suspect that was the case, also ensured the club got a fee for him

Very Good point, in which case it’ll also be the same as Callum Robinson who coincidentally is also absent from training this week.

He always gave his all, no one can argue with that. Felt he was wasted as a defender as he couldn’t defend and was never far enough forward to make an impact, where his strength is.
