The ttuth is out there!
I read that as Keith saying Tan isn’t flying over today to complete the deal (Si makes no mention of this in his podcast either), rather than him saying there is no truth to any of it.

Given the rest of the comments around over the weekend you may well be right, but Keith's comment was a bit confusing it could also mean nothing was imminent either. Mike also queried this.
Tan not coming over by itself means nothing as any deal can presumably be ratified by his representatives in this country

Morelike Dalman flying in to meet them, I doubt Tan will bother will he……

The amount of media 'noise' is sufficient to convince me anyway, that something's going on and ideally parties are keen to get things done as soon as possible. I can't think Tan's going to add to the wage bill in the meanwhile, nor would any incoming owners want him to, so whoever owns the club they will want at least 2 weeks before the September 1st window closes, otherwise it's another wasted season in League 1, IMHO. I'm pretty sure that were a takeover occur it's usual for the new owners to run things whilst due diligence/right and proper person etc. roll out. If I were trying to buy Cardiff City I wouldn't rushing to do so if their season was over before it began..

I think you’ll find it’s only when a club is in financial difficulty that the incoming owners to provide financial assistance and that’s at their own risk.

Re: Identity of other bidders for the club revealed?
I can't get too excited yet, think even if these discussions are well developed it's going to take a long time.
Are we sure Bale isn't involved in this rumoured leading bid? I'm not saying he is but he is the only person that we have received information from directly.

Although there may well have been interest expressed from a few parties no formal bids at all have been received by the club
.Furthermore, claims elsewhere that Vincent Tan is flying in to negotiate a deal, or that interested parties have visited the CCS or flown to Monaco to speak to the club Chair are all false and therefore misleading for any readers of such claims.
In addition, as no offers have been received, claims that due diligence procedures are in progress are a nonsense. No due diligence has been carried out either by potential bidders or by the club on such potential bidders.
On what evidence other places base their claims is far from clear.

Depressing.
Sadly the rumour mill is in full swing and it means people are going to be very disappointed when we start the season with a couple of loans and no real news on any takeover movement.
Club can barely be bothered to keep us informed at the best of times, I don't see anything being put out on this until they absolutely have to.

Well, I imagine they're using Glen Williams & Paul Abbandonato as their mouthpieces, same way lots of clubs do with local journos

Based on what the Head Coach told fans last week, I don`t expect us to start the new season with any new loan signings . He made it clear that these are unlikely until later in August as Premier League teams don`t finalise their squads until then so he won`t know which targets will be available until later than the beginning of August. However, he did say he fully expected to finalise the permanent transfers in of at least two players.

Thank You Keith.
The hysteria surrounding the club at the moment is unbelievable.

So when the club told the trust that they won't comment on 'rumor' they were justified?

I know I'm just being naive but how do people not get called out over such false information online including named bidders etc. it is not in any one:s interest to have this level of mis information out there

No, it’s not, it’s entirely predictable when all the club do is, very reluctantly, feed fans scraps on all subjects, not just takeovers, when they’re forced to.

All depends if you believe them or not.

I'm confused. Didn't Bale publicly state that a bid had been submitted?

I don't know where Keith is getting his information from but he seems certain that there are no formal bids. There are 'expressions' of interest but that is very flakey. Therefore it could well be argued that the clubs statement that it would not comment on 'rumor' is justified at this time

Read Keith's post again. There are no formal bids at this time. Maybe something is in transit. You would have to ask Bale about his comments

Re: Identity of other bidders for the club revealed?
Ninian Knight - Thank you. Some posts of sense and sensibility. It appears that if fans are not fully immersed 100% of the time in the takeover rumours there must be something wrong with them!
What will be will be, middle aged men jumping up and down and bashing their keyboards is not going to help matters! And I am 64 and a half and have seen more than my fair share of nonsense from Bob Grogan and Stefan Terlezki onwards.

It wasn’t justified for all sorts of reasons. The Trust expressed their dissatisfaction with the reply they got for a start and, after a summer of almost zero communication from Tan and co following a relegation they were mainly responsible for, it was the bare minimum they could say.

I would say the relegation was 100% down to the players and the management thereof. Tan (and I am no fan of his at all) could hardly be held responsible for the lack of effort and pitiful performances on the pitch. We paid high wages and bought players in - they let the club down.
