had a look at a QPR forum, they were impressed with our pressing, and said the equaliser was miles offside

See how it translates to competitive matches but from that it's not going to be slow paced possession for the sake of it.

We were the better side and should have won - more and better chances. Left a few goals out on the pitch.

Their second goal was worrying. Too easy.

At least a Plan A (aggressive high press) and a Plan B (drop off more when the energy levels fell but dominate the ball).

I haven't seen any site with match stats - but it felt as if we had 60% or more possession.

It was a step up from the Spain games.

Some very good individual performances - Lawlor, Bagan, Colwill, Robinson, Turnbull....

A worry that we ended up with Eli King as one of two centre backs - although I thought he did well. Clear where the main squad weakness is!

QPR have always felt like a club in a very similar position to us in terms of skill and rank over the past 25 years. Championship mainstays with a few ventures into the Premiership between us.

Why no Robertson? Someone like Mafico used before him. Was BBM telling the truth about driving him mad at Man City and is it that he doesn’t rate him or is it true that we’ve received a bid for him?

Probably more a case of some having 90 minutes today and others will get 90 minutes Saturday to get them up to fitness ahead of the first game
