It's very rarely I discuss politics with my wife but since Corby has been in the frame, we both agree that it is good for politics as he is a true alternative to what has prevailed for years, his potential downfall is that he is followed by many who cannot debate anything unless they are verbally bullying, I know it doesn't bother you neither does it bother me, it might impress the 14 year olds on the board but Corbyn is going to be hindered with the bully boy type of lefties that hang on to his coattails, I think the country needs solid left socialists but it's the caveman attitude that needs to be dropped.

Murdoch will spin it the way he wants to spin it no matter what Corbyn says or does in the real world.

Archie - Good on him - but he does need a way (if he wants to win people over) to communicate to people who are not hard left card carrying brothers and sisters of the union.

If he wont do that through press channels he dislikes - then he needs to find another way.

The only way being (I guess) is social media - ala Russell Brand - but then again - not everyone uses twitter or will tune into Jezza TV.

So he needs to get his message across using platforms like sky news - whether he likes it or not.

No problem whatsoever with Corbyn refusing to speak with the Murdoch owned media. He should though get himself a decent press officer with a human face like Owen Jones and do it sooner rather than later.

it didn't turn out to be far from the truth. the unions actively encouraged members to join the labour party and to vote for Corbyn. The fact that we had such numbers joining from unions shows my claim is not entirely without merit. the fact that Corbyn won by the margin he did shows that the unions coordinated activities got the man they wanted to lead the party.

Corbyn's biggest asset is his authenticity and genuineness and that mustn't get lost in spin, jargon and PR speak. However, sheer volume of media requests, media intrusion etc will demand that he gets himself a good press agent and I can think of nobody better than Owen Jones, a man who shares his beliefs, is very media friendly and, I understand, already a trusted ally of Corbyn.
