He won't get off IMHO
Guilty as charged.

Re: Dirty Ched, The Verdict.
Wow I never expected that. How long until the retrial? I can't put up with another 12 months of this :hehe:
Wonder if he'll get a club for next season now? He'll be due a lot of money in lost earnings.

Re: Dirty Ched, The Verdict.
great news for him
I spent ages looking at the case last year and often posted on threads about him, i remember a few on here were just adamant that he was a rapist and that was that
The case was dodgy right from the start
Yes Ched is a wrong un, he actions were wrong, but being a wrong un is not being a rapist

Just searched ccmb and you've used this about half a dozen times. Is this really how you think it is spelled? :hehe:

Re: Dirty Ched, The Verdict.
This looks like a bit of 'Vetelism' to me, as in "I'm shouting at you so no one looks at what I did (said)" :hehe:

So you have picked me up on the spelling of agreed ( which stems from a old joke ) , but well done anyway
yet you feel Ched " hasn't yet been found innocent " :hehe:

It's a summary of the reasons for the Court of Appeal refusing his first appeal. Their own version is available elsewhere on crimeline.info, I think.
I'd love to see a transcript of the original trial, but for some reason - probably because of the amount of incriminating evidence from his own mouth - the Ched Evans website has never published the one his legal team doubtless have.

Quite - she was so drunk, she didn't wake up when she pissed herself later that night. Evans should have known that she was extremely drunk: the only contact he'd had with her outside the room was when he stepped over her, literally falling down drunk, earlier.
It also gives the lie to the idea that she made a complaint to make money. No, she didn't know where her handbag was and thought it had been stolen. In fact, she'd left it in the kebab shop around 3am. Just how drunk does a woman have to be to not know where her handbag is?

Yes Ched is a wrong un, but how many other blokes would have been tempted to " have a go " with her if she was encouraging it ? ? ?
Where's the evidence that she was encouraging it?
He says she was "repeatedly" "calling out" "**** me harder", but MacDonald doesn't say he heard that before he left the room. Evans' brother and the mate outside trying to film it all didn't give evidence that they could hear that (and they could be heard giggling from inside the room, so would clearly be able to hear someone "calling out" inside it). The night porter who could hear that sex was happening in the room couldn't hear that.
So of the four people in a position to hear all this claimed encouragement, none could. Hmm...

SuperIan,
6 posts all about Ched in two different threads.
You don't work for the CPS do you?

Re: Dirty Ched, The Verdict.
No, I was looking for something else (what to do about the problem of some foreign owner who wants to tear up the history of the club) and found the bullshit about how Evan's original trial was a complete stitch up first.
Despite the best efforts of his family, I've no idea who she is, but it's a case that makes me see red (for the right reasons, rather than an idiot deciding he prefers it to blue).

So are you saying that because he was brought to trial he must be guilty? Or do you know something that no one else knows, including the police the CPS the judiciary and everyone else?
There has to be a reason you are on here purely to keep talking about this man. so tell us what it is.

No, but unlike some of the 'he's innocent' lot, I can see why he was convicted in the original trial. Unanimously. By the same jury that acquitted MacDonald, again unanimously. I can see why they did that too.

I think the original verdicts were right and I'm annoyed with people spouting rubbish about why he shouldn't have been convicted in the first place.
I'd love to know what the evidence that's got him a retrial is. It will have to be pretty damn devastating to provide him with a reasonable belief in her consent given what he said in the first one...
... but I actually came here to find out how you get an owner to change their mind. This is a distraction, albeit one I'm passionate about too.
