Welsh speakers being more patriotic than non-Welsh speakers. It's utter nonsense.
Regarding the history you refer to-get over it .Many bad things have happened in history but why continue to bleat about it and carry a chip on your shoulder. Surely your not saying we are squeaky clean when it comes historical events.

Re: Booing - "God save the Queen"

I can't imagine why or how England might muster up more support than Wales.........

Let's take an extreme scenario. If someone killed your father, and then said ah well forget about it. Would you?

"Welsh-speakers tend to be more nationalistic"
Nowehere did I say they were more patriotic, nationalistic and patriotic mean different things
Here's a summary I found
"Nationalism means to give more importance to unity by way of a cultural background, including language and heritage. Patriotism pertains to the love for a nation, with more emphasis on values and beliefs."
I was giving genuine reasons for the booing of God Save the Queen there are other reasons as well but the other ones are more broad I feel (Republicanism being the main one) so I tried giving reasons as to way Welsh people in particular would boo God Save the Queen, I think they are valid reasons for booing the British anthem
Although they could have just been booing because of how bad the tune is :hehe:

Perhaps as a Welsh speaker you should stick to the Welsh Message Board because the above makes little sense at all.

Re: Booing - "God save the Queen"
I despise those who are handed wealth and power without working for it. I'm also a huge atheist.
Fairly simple why I boo it, and will continue to do so with passion.

Can you reply using English as I have no idea what you are trying to say?

Re: Booing - "God save the Queen"
I have never booed GSTQ, but I never sing it and I refuse to stand up for it when it's played.
That has been difficult in some places where I have been alone or one of only a handful of people not to conform - including the Sheffield Arena for a Steelers v Devils match where 2,000+ were doing the whole imported American razzmatazz thing at the start (including all standing up for GSTQ before the teams came on the ice) and some concerts (e.g. Bridgewater Hall in Manchester where my cousin's lad was part of a Welsh youth orchestra and the evening started with GSTQ and the whole audience - bar 2 of us - stood and sang).
I have never been back to the ice hockey because i don't want to repeat the experience (and some intimidation) of that first time.
However it is getting a bit easier for atheist republicans - the weight of conformity (especially around God and Queen) has eased since I walked out of church (Congregationalist) and the boy scouts aged 12!
