I think you are confused. I always treat other people with respect, and to be frank with you, I don't give a toss what you or anybody else thinks about me. Not being funny but you state your opinions as if it’s a fact :shrug: I keep seeing sarriball but don’t understand what it is, this is probably the first time Chelsea has a manager who has a long term plan rather than short term fixes

The problem is not the Chelsea management but the Chelsea owner. He has unrealistic expectations.

He wants to play a better brand of football but he thinks this can happen overnight.

There is no doubt at Napoli Sarri was given time to implement his ideas and wasn't in danger of being sacked after 6 months in the job.

Unless Abrahamovic learns to have a little patience he will never reach the goal he's looking for.

Ferguson was a genius but he was under immense pressure in his first few seasons at United. He would have been sacked if they didn't win the fa cup in 1990.

Of course he developed Ronaldo but that's not the same as saying the same thing as he was basically the only one who knew about him. I believe the players convinced him Ronaldo was the real deal after playing against him in a friendly.

Fergie done miracles bringing through the class of 92 but the premier league is a different animal now and it would be nigh on impossible to do that now.

Thankfully we are seeing coaches introduced to the premier league in the last couple of years who place emphasis on coaching players rather than buying them and if they don't hit the ground running that's that.

Citeh prepared the way for Pep yet he still had a difficult first season there.

Emery is struggling to shake off the weak under belly that was at the club with Wenger towards the end.

The pressure is probably less intense at Spurs in a funny sort of way cos he knows where he is in that they're not spending money.

Sarri has proven quality and the problem is not that the premier league is the "best league" in the world but rather that it's the least patient league in the world.

Probably the only club that show less patience than Chelsea in world football are Real Madrid. They are struggling this season in adapting from a squad that's getting stale to bringing in youth and looking to change style yet they give Lopetegui 2 months ffs.

Having had a word with myself, and after posting on here for 22 years, this will be my last post. It's pointless engaging with people like you and your gang of fellow disruptors, who constantly derail threads by commenting about the person and not the topic. Chelsea and Sarri was always going to be an interesting move. I think he'd have been better suited at Arsenal, whereby he could have rebuilt them without as much short term pressure. Chelsea won't wait for him/the team to be ready. I don't think there's a club in the world like Chelsea where the same group of players can finish 1st, 10th and 1st in consecutive seasons.

Finished 3rd behind 2 of the best teams premier league teams of the last 10 years, 1 domestic cup final and 1 europa league in his first season whilst working against fans and media who don’t like him. I’d say that’s a very good first season.

He could end up at Juventus. I'd say that he's done ok in his first season, the fans and the media haven't helped him. I'd like to see how he gets on next season, if he decides to stay or he doesn't get the boot.

I'm not trying to paint anything as an achievement, stop putting words in my mouth. I said that i think that he has done alright in his first season. If he started playing Ampadu and he developed under sarri, would you still think he was shit?

Finished above a very good Spurs team and far behind two ridiculously good sides. Plus two cup finals, winning one. Not much more he could have done.

He's also blooded a youngster who was 17 at the start of the season in Hudson odoi and by the time of his injury he was genuinely competing with Pedro and Willian. I don't think any of the other managers in the top 4 have brought through any kids that I can think of this season, yet Sarri is the only one to cop any flack for it.

Chelsea started dropping off after about a third of the season when opposition coaches had studied Sarriball and targeted Jorginho as the weak link. Sarri was too stubborn to change his system, and his problems were compounded by picking the same players for every game. Chelseas managed to finish 3rd due to the abysmal end of the season form of Spurs, Arsenal and Manchester United, not by brilliant Sarri management. Don't forget he also refused to play Loftus-Cheek and Hudson-Odoi, even though his favourites were not performing well.

This graph shows the points gap between the top 6 teams throughout the season. Manchester City had their burst at the end, and before that it was Liverpool's title to lose. The gap between Chelea and the top two started to widen steadily after the 14th game.

'O' is the baseline points total required to maintain a title challenge. What Liverpool and Man City did is immaterial, although they did exceed expectations it has nothing to do with Chelsea's performance. The fact is Chelsea got steadily worse as the season progressed, and that is what the boardroom will be looking at. The decline was almost linear, which means there was no improvement at all.
