Had a good feeling about this game beforehand.
Not sure what happened to my prediction thread though.
Bring on Leeds!

One way traffic second half especially.
Even the biased home commentary on iFollow gave us some credit in the end.
Away fans sounded great second half too.
Great effort.

Fair play to him, he is a battler.
Took his goal well.

Pato making a few of us eat our words. What a celebration 😂
Two points off the playoffs. Mad league.

He'll probably get game time when we mathematically can't go up.. what a confidence booster that would be "here lad get some minutes, I've played a donkey ahead of you when we thought we could go up but now we can't I can play you"
Another particularly stupid post from the person who thinks he knows everything about football.

I personally ain't eating my words, but I get what you mean. He did what we know he can do, but he's still limited and has a direct affect on the way we play, I thought I'd be excited to be 2 points off the play offs but I just can't enjoy us playing with him up top, it's going to be a turgid battle week in week out, and we'll probably miss out on the play offs meaning we've wasted a lot of time playing shite football with the slight lingering hope of a play off spot that will ultimately prove out of reach.

Yea and then we will all die of a virus. Those hardy few that survive with the cleanest of arses and a belly full of pasta will walk the gloomy landscape of a destroyed society.
Perhaps one day, centuries from now the ruins of the ccs will again host a form of the beautiful game. Although I'm sure the East Wales militia will somehow **** up promotion.

I agree that he is good to have about the place. I have been supportive of him and deserves his a place in the squad.
I just thought that today may have been the time to try something a bit different as I still think we would have won the game.
He rarely gets the big refereeing decisions go his way because of the way he plays and this could cost us against the bigger sides.
Happy with his contribution overall today especially the second half.
Well done to NH and the team.

Agree. He wasn't a striker. Made some tidy runs and arrived at the right time to score some decent goals.

Fair play, you waited your moment to post that. Now, if you'd posted that prior to him scoring, you would have gained a lot more kudos.

Glatzel has scored a goal every 355 minutes so basically 1 in 4 games (1422 minutes divided by 4 goals). Not great, but he's also not being used properly.
Paterson has scored 5 in 1440 minutes (championship games) so a goal every 288 minutes or 1 in just over every 3 games and we play a way which suits him.
So we are playing to his strengths and he is barely better, yet he is lauded on here as some hero, the other is criticised and we play a completely different game to what he needs.

I've seen nothing to suggest Glatzel is any better when given a goalscoring chance than Paterson. What's more Paterson gets into those goalscoring positions which Glatzel doesn't. Glatzel is good at holding the ball up at his feet, but Paterson wins the ball in the air a lot more. It's Paterson for me every time..

We don't need to go in the air though.
I'd rather a striker through on goal (YouTube his goal v reading) than a makeshift striker/midfielder/winger/plumber/chippie.
What's more Glatzel gets into the CORRECT positions, those of a striker, he's not outside the box or near the wing when we want him in the box..

The plumber is scoring goals
We need the rest of the team to chip in now

I do not like the argument, he is just a makeshift striker, He is a professional footballer and 'he is' whatever position the manager decides to play him in.
He is clearly at his best when playing up top and therefore is a forward player, He has played 99% of his minutes in a attacking role.
You would not call Gareth Bale a makeshift striker, just because he played is formative years as a left back.
