I know that I am not a sexist misogynist , believe in equality for all and have actually supported vulnerable women and helped them escape violence and abuse and get the right support from the right agency .

Maybe you should stick to posts telling everyone what an amazing footballer you were, and how Messi asked you to swap shirts after a game, and begged you to join him at Barcelona.
There are some people on this site who lap up that kind of stuff from a fantasist like yourself, who’s detached from reality!

I would rather be black than a swansea jack used to be sung at Swansea fans
Town full of pakis shouted at Bradford City and Oldham fans
All buksh the Asian referree being abused by cardiff fans from the Bob Bank
Coventry City away in the fa Cup, bus of supporters racially abusing Asian people near the ground
A poster on here who is of mixed raced being abused by cardiff fans at Charlton
Bloke arrested on Bob bank for doing a nazi salute
****ing ****** being shouted at a Stoke City player wasting time
Rather wear a turban than a rose often sang just before we left ninian park
Cardiff is a multi racial city and 16 percent of the city are from a non white background
How many people do you see from a multicultural background at cardiff matches ?
To deny that cardiff city doesn't have a racist element among its support and always has its blind

You're being ridiculous, Messi is way younger than me, we never had the chance to meet. If we had, then I may have swapped shirts with him, depending on how I felt, it's probably the closest he would've got to my shirt all game.
As for you, you perrenial disappointment, deal with the issues and stop scuttling off to quote some hard right literature in order to reinforce your ****ed up views. Yours, with kisses, the greatest footballer who ever lived!

Racism cannot be ended just by individuals not giving out explicit racist abuse as a personal choice - which is how the original comment came over.
I think the BLM protests have reached a tipping point because of the length and weight of numbers involved, and the way prominent figures in sports have aligned themselves with it in visible and coordinated demonstrations before matches/events. But there is an equally determined push back - clear from many governing bodies and across social media. So now is not the time to stop, it is the time to step it up and expose the racists and their sometimes unwitting allies the complacent!

Why shouldn't some people, if they wish, quote right wing literature? Are only left wing supporters allowed to do it? Just asking? :sherlock:

Exactly, I reckon that he's a multi, comes across like another WUM on here, who likes to provoke people with American right wing ideology.

Re: Sky making a big thing of QPR not taking the knee
To break it down into the simplest of terms. Taking a knee is a show of solidarity from the football world that racism won't be accepted.
You have an issue with that then you need a long hard look in the mirror why and don't quote some bullshit article from people with agendas. Have a good think and come back to me with your reasons why.

Of course you're allowed to do it, although in my opinion, it's just an opinion! I'd rather a more balanced view looking at both sides of an argument, or for people not to just agree with literature that they probably agreed with before they read it.That's how I look at things. Did I ever tell you how good I was at football.....

So you’re saying the easily checked statistics quoted in the article, are made up?
Yet a paper respected worldwide has chosen to print these ‘lies’, without fact checking.
Get a grip.

I didn't use the word 'lies', so please don't try to quote me on it. But I do think the WSJ would print a politically biased, opinion piece. Because they did. Newspapers do it all the time. Do you happen to know who owns the WSJ by the way?

Re: Sky making a big thing of QPR not taking the knee
Please can someone, in simple terms, explain to me why grown up people who enjoy football, among other sports, find something to object about a few other people whom they don't know personally, squatting on their knees for a few seconds BEFORE a match?
If the match got interrupted a few times for this performance DURING play then I could quite understand someone getting pissed off with it (I would). But BEFORE a match I really can't think of any reason why anyone would object other than they're being racist. I mean if there were some other quick gesture players performed to reject paedophilia for example just about all of us would applaud them; what would it say about the tiny minority who would object?

It doesn't matter on this forum what the source is as there will always be somebody who claims it is biased because the author is left wing/right wing/communist/racist etc. When you think about, who would you (you plural) trust to give an impartial report on anything!

Personally, I'd try to stay away from opinion pieces and stay with news. Having said that, here's an opinion piece from the Washington Post which I think gives a fair account of what systemic racism is.

Re: Sky making a big thing of QPR not taking the knee
Interesting on here the narrative is all black people are persecuted by the racist police.
Yet the easily checkable statistics, don’t bear that out.
Shame the two police officers in LA shot in the heads by a black man whilst sat in their patrol car, aren’t afforded the same level of sympathy.
Even worse, gangs of black people assembling outside the hospital they were taken to shouting ‘Let them die.’
Just imagine if this situation was reversed, there would outrage, riots, and condemnation worldwide.
The reason the police in America have so many interactions with black people, is they commit the most crime.
Nearly all the recent high profile incidents like Floyd and Blake, members of the public called them out to address issues.
They didn’t simply target these people because of their skin colour.
