Completely devoid of ideas and riddled with individual errors. Shite.

Re: COVENTRY CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
cabbage, this isn't anything i'd deem to be entertainment, we'll be lucky to get out of this game just the one down

Way the season is shaping up it feels like it will be an achievement to beat our poorest showing, standing’s wise, at this level since... 2005?
It's looking like it.
We did have a dismal start to our FA cup final season, but turned that around quite quickly.

shapeless, lethargic and no movement around the box... but enough about SLUDGE FACTORY, this game is bin juice

Re: COVENTRY CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
My stream has dropped in and out second half but from what I have seen I don't think there has been any sort of decent pattern of play from us. All just rushed in possession, sloppy and generally devoid of ideas going forward.
Coventry I follow commentator has called us Sheffield Wednesday about 7 times, I wish this wasn't us :hehe:

Is wilson still on the pitch?
We've done nothing down that side

We don't even look a threat from set pieces.

Re: COVENTRY CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
A better side than Coventry would have seen us off by now

I think his comments are self delusional intended to convince the board that he knows what he's doing. Hopefully they won't be fooled.

Joe bennett hasn't been terrible
That's about it.

I’m sorry but we’re throwing kitchen sink and we opt for Mark Harris instead of Benkovic?

Coventry have conceded the most goals in the Championship....and we have hardly threatened all game

Could Cardiff old boy Ben Wilson do us a favour and chuck a couple into the net please?

That's twice now he's brought on Mark Harris with about a minute to go, what exactly does he expect him to do at that point?

Enough is enough. Harris has to go.
-
Re: FT: COVENTRY CITY 1 - 0 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
It's getting much harder to argue he deserves more time... Warnock wasted huge sums of money leaving us with much weakened squad so, while improvements have been made by Harris, our limitations are being exposed by a congested fixture list and a manager who hasn't been able to come up with the answers thus far.
-
Re: FT: COVENTRY CITY 1 - 0 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Probably as poor as we have been, very disjointed. Not quite the response of a team trying to get a result for the manager.
Another piss poor goal to give away.

Re: FT: COVENTRY CITY 1 - 0 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
why didn't we throw Olofinjana on..? 🤬

"knows the club" is one of the most damaging phrases in UK football.
It should have basically no bearing compared to finding someone actually qualified to do the job.

Re: FT: COVENTRY CITY 1 - 0 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
-
Re: FT: COVENTRY CITY 1 - 0 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
That was some seriously painful viewing... Only consolation is I didn't pay anything to watch it. I'd be surprised to see Harris still in the job for much longer. That was as clueless and heartless a performance as I've seen in some time.

Bellamy left this club under a dark cloud which is still much too recent for him to return as a manager.
If Harris has reached the end of his time here, I'd still give him the next two games to turn things around, then we need to make a much smarter decision about who to bring in than we have for most of the past 10 years. We have had lots of good managers but majority have been near opposites to what had come before, other teams have built a club whereas we build a team for one or two years, and two most successful managers left us in a right mess. Warnock brought grit and togetherness, Harris has tried to engage with a more balanced approach and much greater focus on future of the club - these qualities should be sought in next manager, if now is the time to start looking.
