McCarthy's not doing bad is he though?

Re: CARDIFF CITY v COVENTRY CITY. Match thread
Anyone watching the u23 highlights?
We look like Man Citeh going forward.
Isaac Davies looks sharp.
The Colchester no. 6 is as slow as hell mind.
He could slot in our defence no problem

It’s crazy how another manager can come in, make some slight changes and get completely different outcomes. Always makes me question what the hell was the other guy doing before and why they couldn’t see it. Human nature and happens in every industry I guess. Change is good sometimes. Fair play to Mick and the team.

All the MM haters are looking rather stupid now!

Great quick-thinking from ~~Ng to take the FK before Cov knew what was happening

He’s getting a bit more freedom from MM.

it is ridiculous though

Re: CARDIFF CITY v COVENTRY CITY. Match thread
I've always been a Murphy fan, he needs a certain amount of freedom that managers like Warnock and Harris can't allow a player though.
He needs to get some consistency and a run of games though.

I doubt if it took much more than a bit of encouragement and freedom to play how he wants to.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v COVENTRY CITY. Match thread
Any chance of some subs Mick?

Perhaps time to take Kieffer off, Coventry still look up for the fight though so maybe that's in Mick's mind.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v COVENTRY CITY. Match thread
If we don't bring youngsters on at 3-0 up, when are we going to bring them on?
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v COVENTRY CITY. Match thread
The three points is all Mick's bothered about here but the experience, even sat on the bench, will help these youngsters.
Plenty of games to come where I'm sure they'll get their chance.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v COVENTRY CITY. Match thread
bang on to let one in soon
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v COVENTRY CITY. Match thread
It's a good job they can't finish,

Re: CARDIFF CITY v COVENTRY CITY. Match thread
Turns out leaving knackered players on leads to them scoring...
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v COVENTRY CITY. Match thread
It's been coming for 20 minutes
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v COVENTRY CITY. Match thread
Still can't believe he brought Bacuna on for Murphy not Vaulks
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v COVENTRY CITY. Match thread
why cant they see a sub is needed
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v COVENTRY CITY. Match thread
Why are we keeping Kieffer on
Risking injury to most important player and he’s knackered
-

I never get this, why would Warnock and Harris stifle a player so he’s worse? I get that it happens but I just find it really odd
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v COVENTRY CITY. Match thread
Desperate need for fresh legs, make a sub ffs

Agree that was a strange one. The way Murphy is feeling he could run about til midnight.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v COVENTRY CITY. Match thread
Good game. Coventry are not a bad little team. Fantastic to see the players celebrate with Murphy after his goal.
-
Re: FT: CARDIFF CITY 3 - 1 COVENTRY CITY. Match thread
I'm still not convinced by our three centre-backs.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v COVENTRY CITY. Match thread
Moore was clearly knackered after 75 minutes. What was the point of leaving him on the pitch? We don't have another striker who can start in his place, so we need to rest him whenever we can.

Re: FT: CARDIFF CITY 3 - 1 COVENTRY CITY. Match thread
Next 4 games involve clubs that are quite close to City in terms of points, (Luton, Preston, Bournemouth and Middlesborough) so a good run now would be very useful!

Perhaps something to do with the fact that Vaulks was one of the best players on the pitch and Murphy could hardly stand up at the end !!

We've got 5 subs. It's really odd, minor complaint though. Cracking performance overall, Moore is different class.

Vaulks was clearly knackered, Bacuna was a fairly obvious replacement in midfield and bring on Watters/Colwill/Harris for Murphy
Its a tough season, we need to rest players when we can
