If he's selected to play tomorrow he's not leaving.

Well as Citeh have missed out on Kane and now Ronaldo they could well be in the market for a promising young striker. He would reall fit into their system.

Re: Wolves after Kieffer Moore?
Few more days before people forget this silly story.
Plenty of teams might want him but not Wolves -they just don’t play like that.
£7M is stupid for a 20 goal striker - even in these cut price days.
Also he’s only done that once and in the Championship so he’s not really proven yet ( remember Gary Madine goal machine).
Mind you, the way MM is downgrading I could well understand if he wanted to go somewhere with a bit more ambition. If we bobble along till Christmas with under 23s , league one refugees and achieve bugger all then he’d be quite right to want to go to a club that’s going somewhere .

Wolves are close to completing a deal to sign RB Leipzig forward Hwang Hee-chan.

Re: Wolves after Kieffer Moore?
Sooner transfer window is closed and Moore can start putting some effort in on behalf of Cardiff the better. He played today like a guy looking for a move and not wanting to get injured.

That's exactly what I said at the game today and on Tuesday night v Brighton. He was warming up right in front of us in the second half and the sparse Canton crown put out a big chant for him. He was expressionless and I just couldn't help feeling something wasn't right. Do you know when you just get that vibe? Felt the same today. Just a feeling.

Good to see that Wolves bought the South Korean striker they were tracking

Alan Nixon (often right) saying Wolves still after a central striker. Maybe they fancy that Michael Smith at Rotherham?

Re: Wolves after Kieffer Moore?
Logically, it's not impossible Wolves may want Moore.
For all the claims he doesn't fit their style, they lack a striker capable of the style he thrives under - he'd not be first choice but would provide them with a different option.

It would be highly illogical .
Whilst Moore is a decent championship player . The premier league is a different stratosphere .

"Decent Championship player" is a bit of a disservice imo. 20 goals last season in a side afraid of going past the halfway line and has impressed internationally, having the better of some top defenders

Yeah I agree with that.
In fact, that Moore got that many goals in a side allergic to passing and keeping the ball is a miracle.

Late move? Talks ongoing? No doubt I could be totally wrong, but I think Percy’s taking the piss.

Re: Wolves after Kieffer Moore?
Logic dictates that, having lost parachute payments, we're very much a selling club as are virtually all clubs other than the top few.
If Wolves were interested and made a serious offer, it would be stupid to turn it down.
With only Collins, Davies, Harris and Vassell around the first team squad - Zimba also possibly? - an unexpected side effect could be transitioning way from long ball.
-
Re: Wolves after Kieffer Moore?
David Ornstein of The Athletic also reporting it.
In my opinion, Wolves aren't going to offer an amount that Cardiff find acceptable. He's too important to us, and not enough time to use any capital raised, with too many risks involved for them to make a high offer. He's not even in last year of his contract so we're unlikely to accept much less than we think he's worth.
Counter to that is Wolves struggling to score and Welsh coach being there...but I don't think it's enough.

He absolutely bossed Milan Skrinar. He's apparently a world class centre half, Moore scored and tossed him around like a rag doll.

I know we're having to cut costs but we know in 12 months we lose 10 players (I'd expect 7 of those to be amongst higher earners at the club) which means drastic cost cutting is going to happen naturally in a really short period of time.
I don't see us accepting less than we got for Michael Chopra in 07/08, when we were in a really desperate position, seeing that it's so much later in the window and Moore is a better player.
