What a strange comment. How many teams that are good at set pieces do you know that have short players? The fact they are tall and physical is half the battle.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v READING. Match thread
Looks like our formation is 4-1-4-1

Missing

Morrison
Araruna
Rinomhota
It’s a decent starting line up but with no options at all off the bench
Wow that really is a decent team out

Tend to agree
And Giles

Re: CARDIFF CITY v READING. Match thread
Bacuna is garbage. Surely we have someone better to play left sided midfield.
Bowen's passing is a class above our other central midfielders. His only issue is the poor passes played in to him.

He’s a box to box midfielder
He cannot play anything else
His best asset is his engine. Use it

Re: CARDIFF CITY v READING. Match thread
Been a much better performance so far, getting lots of crosses in, but you still expect us to concede at any moment

Re: CARDIFF CITY v READING. Match thread
had to be didn't it......must not let heads drop now.....

Re: CARDIFF CITY v READING. Match thread
That's what can happen when you play a right footed winger on the right hand side.
Hoilett rarely played that side for us.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v READING. Match thread
Was much better from us compared to recent games until the goal.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v READING. Match thread
Just messaged my mate saying we needed to make the most of our dominance chances wise.....and ****ing typical, a minute later a goal

Fair play to him though, he did quite well on the left. I don't know why we let him go if he was prepared to accept a 1-year deal.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v READING. Match thread
Bagan for Brown.....Colwill for Bacuna.....my changes second half.......

Agree.
Best winger we've had for some time.

Because we didn't need a right winger?? Weird thing to criticise when he was good for us on the left
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v READING. Match thread
Another first half passes without a City goal.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v READING. Match thread
10 goals conceded in the space of a week... grim
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v READING. Match thread
Still no 1st half goal. Unbelievable.

I've never liked the inverted wingers system there's too much cutting back onto their favoured foot and not enough getting to the byline.
Giles has done well so far today but his crossing would be better if he was on the left.
Ralls and Pack will be severely hampered second half by those yellow cards. Ralls was justified but I though Pack's was unlucky and caused by a hospital pass from Brown.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v READING. Match thread
Eleven games and not a single first half goal from City so far. Incredible. Bring back Marley Watkins.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v READING. Match thread
Better than midweek but not hard.
It's still ultimately 4cbs, 2 out of position.
Had some pressure but still not created too much, neither have reading to be fair.

He was better on the left and cutting in, he was far better technically than NML whose raw pace better utilised on the right

Re: CARDIFF CITY v READING. Match thread
Can't fault the effort....and it's not hoofball....need a break...

Re: CARDIFF CITY v READING. Match thread
That shots stat sums up today.
