Always going to happen when we went down to 10

All that hard work goes out of the window with a single action. Anyone want to predict the final score, 2-5?

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SHEFFIELD UTD. Match thread
Undeserved for what we put in. That's football.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SHEFFIELD UTD. Match thread
Decent game ruined. Morrison should have just let him through.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v SHEFFIELD UTD. Match thread
10 men I know but we are so weak defensively as a team. This home record is just beyond a joke.
Can we just offer to play everyone away.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v SHEFFIELD UTD. Match thread
At least we know where we are with Sean Morrison’s contract in the summer.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v SHEFFIELD UTD. Match thread
We took all our pace off to sit deep and we have just gotten exposed.
Should have stayed 4 at the back brought on a midfielder and kept Davies up top with Moore.

Yeah agree......went for a wine glass fill and hey....two goals shipped.....even with ten men the last two goals were avoidable....first Sheff Utd was pretty good and no real culpability.

Only a few days ago, many on this message board were saying that he should be offered a new contract at the end of the season.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SHEFFIELD UTD. Match thread
I think we were papering over the cracks and very fortunate to go in 1 up.
SU have been the much better side and causes our defence far more problems then we theirs.
I'm afraid it looks as if Morrison has had his day too.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SHEFFIELD UTD. Match thread
Sounded really good at the start of the second half, suppose we were lucky to be winning anyway

yep....agree...

Agree too. It was like we'd just got Mick back.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v SHEFFIELD UTD. Match thread
Can't really blame Steve Morison for trying to pack the midfield when we were down to 10 men against a superior side
What's happened to Sean though? Been poor all season

I think it was plain for everyone to see even before the sending off that his days are numbered.

Would have kept the 2 kids on myself and hit them on the break.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SHEFFIELD UTD. Match thread
Our defence needs some pace injected into it this summer.
Certain players are simply getting on, agewise.

Same their centre halves couldn't push up because of our pace. Once they went off they could expose us. Too slow in midfield.

Bangs head. No, no we weren't lucky.

Whole team needs an injection of pace over the next couple of windows. Vincent needs to start looking down the side of the sofa.

Ralls has been good again....probably not enough time now...BUT it is still a decent performance that shows progression.

Sandcastle anyone?:-)
Morrison's pace let him down which resulted in Billy Sharp skinning him. To be fair, SM hasn't been up to the mark this season and hasn't bossed the back as in previous seasons, i.e. we are hardly fortress Cardiff any more. Would replace at the earliest opportunity.
The whole defence needs root and branch change as we are vulnerable in this area.
