Never seen so many opposition players stay down after a challenge before. 🤔

Colwill ff sake that's weak

Re: WALES v POLAND. Match thread
Steve Morison is summarising for SSN.

Re: WALES v POLAND. Match thread
We have had so many promising situations but the final ball into the box has been terrible. James is the worst offender. He has no end product. A very frustrating night.

these Poles get on your tits, cheating feckers

I would have hooked him off at half time
No confidence in the team at all tonight
Great snap header by Bale but that's been it from him

James is awful, he can run, that’s it. You’d think he’d be practicing his final ball but doesn’t seem so.
Disappointing night all round, I can’t see us winning a game at the WC if I’m brutally honest

Re: WALES v POLAND. Match thread
Jeez. It isn’t our night.

Re: WALES v POLAND. Match thread
good workout, meaningless competition

Re: WALES v POLAND. Match thread
Deserved nothing , very poor , Bale to retire

Re: WALES v POLAND. Match thread
Dear Mr Page, please tell your mates the jolly's are over, and then start the fookin' revolution!
-
Re: WALES v POLAND. Match thread
Played ok. Wasted lots of good positions with poor final balls.

Easy to say that when you lose. Low confidence and tactically naive going into a tough World Cup group. Could be three long 90 minutes.

Agreed. Nothing to get too worked up about.

We're missing a number of key players. It could easily have been 1-0 the other way and us with a win. They were no better than us.

Re: WALES v POLAND. Match thread
One moment of magic and some classy goalkeeping the difference, alongside some smart cynical play from the Poles.
Frustrating game overall (and ref). Luck wasn’t in and didn’t deserve it, felt like we deserved more away to them with our second string.
Feel it’s been a positive campaign considering the make shift nature of the teams at times. Not been embarrassed at any point and have been competitive in the games. Been a learning curve no doubt. Has gotten me in the mood for the World Cup which, if I’m being honest, hasn’t been the case even when we clinched qualifying against Ukraine.

Re: FT: WALES 0 - 1 POLAND. Match thread
Well that was frustrating.
We created chances though and on another day could have scored a few.
The Polish team were embarrassing with their antics.
Class goal mind.

Re: FT: WALES 0 - 1 POLAND. Match thread
Thought it was a great entertaining game of football…well done Wales (unlucky)
-
Re: FT: WALES 0 - 1 POLAND. Match thread
We are certainly going to have to improve our crossing and finishing when we go to the World Cup but hey this is a golden period and we are going to the finals so let’s look forward. We are in a group where we have a real chance of getting through but Page needs to look at certain players. James is the biggest issue. Maybe bring Harry Wilson in if fit and keep Johnson in the side.
-
Re: WALES v POLAND. Match thread
Means harder qualifying groups next euros and world cup so massive result

I can’t see us getting those key players fit for the WC. That’s the worrying thing

Re: FT: WALES 0 - 1 POLAND. Match thread
Wales won’t win a single game in the World Cup.
-
Re: WALES v POLAND. Match thread
they went to ground so easy under every challenge, one of them was holding his face just as the challenge was made.

I hope our injured players are back for the WC. Really misses Davies, Ampadu, Ramsey and Wilson amongst others.

Have to agree with this.
We have pushed some top top teams in trying circumstances.
There has been plenty of promise.

Wilson and Allen should be fit. Never got much faith in Ramsey these days, not sure if he's just decided to retire himself to be fair.

People say Ampadu is shit until he's not there.

I'm not his biggest fan by any means, and still think he's not the most mature player, but he adds a bit of control and stability.

We had the better of the game and really should scored a few. Szecezny was MoTM imo. He had one of those games where he kept everything out.
Not too worried about relegation. We will still be second seeds for the Euros and will have a decent chance of qualifying.
We need to get players fit. Harry Wilson is back in training and Ben Davies should be back in the next couple of weeks. Ramsey and Allen should be back next month too. It’s probably too late for David Brooks though.
-
Re: FT: WALES 0 - 1 POLAND. Match thread
Some really negative people on here to be fair
On another day we’d have won that game and it would be all positive.
Loads of the ball, created lots of chances, competed well. We had lots of players out and imo were the better team for the majority of the game. We were undone by a world class assist from a world class player. Some of the Polish time wasting was embarrassing but if we’d done it then it’s great game management
For the Dan James critics yes I agree he needs to be more composed and improve his final ball. But he is on his own in terms of the energy and pressing he brings to the team.
For those saying we don’t owe bale anything / bale brings nothing / drop Bale - I guess this is your first time watching Wales and I guess we have to accept some of this rubbish as a consequence of some successful years for our country.
Together stronger and looking forward to the World Cup

Relegation is the best way to get rid of the deadwood, otherwise Page would be saying he's keeping the old guard cos they kept us up! It's best to rebuild and let the youngsters take us back up again.
