My opinion has never changed, I just think the data is open to question which appears reasonable enough, I can see you’re upset as I’m all for it.

What's your unwavering opinion?

I don’t know enough about it really, but it’s not binary.I’ve suggested what I would do if I had any influence and my family are close to carbon neutral without being freaky about it.

Yesterday you said this.

You’re ok thanks , I think I’d prefer to look elsewhere than a football message-board if I was that interested but it’s a topic I find boring and I would find it somewhat hypocritical to be all for it considering I like my foreign holidays, quick petrol cars , wood burning stoves , steaks, fast fashion , etc
The rest of your family must be foraging in the back garden tethered to a post to compensate!

Clearly you can’t see a wind up when it hits you in the face ::hehe:
I remember years ago I voted for Rodney Burman ( Lib Dem’s) as they were the only party who were happy to keep the “ green bag” scheme free to Cardiff residents as part of their election manifesto.Funny how times change.

For future reference, which of those opposing statements is the wind up?

I think even you know the odd steak and flight can still be offset by other green habits, like cycling , car ownership per household, clean heating / energy systems ,modern insulation, home working ,sensible food choices / lack of food waste etc. Oh plus we never wore masks :hehe:

You, your family including your young child never wore a mask during the Covid restrictions, in schools, sporting stadiums or public places?

My son is 6 , and it wasn’t law it was guidance only.

I'm curious that's all. Lots of us could only go into supermarkets, football grounds and kids to school by wearing a mask for a few months of the Covid period but your life carried on unchanged. Yet you are one of the people on here complaining most about the restrictions to your civil liberties.

My life was far from normal , I can assure you of that. When you have parents who have dementia and other ailments who live miles away it’s not pleasant, as you can imagine.

I can. My Mum was/is in a care home during and after the crisis. You have also been vocal that covid restrictions should be focused on those most vulnerable.
So when you visited your parents with dementia and other ailments you didn't wear a mask, right?
Also you have a 6 year old kid, how old are your parents?

No I'm not joking.
It's not the only factor but it's one of the major ones.
We seem incapable as a species currently of solving major problems unless it benefits the billionaire class. I think we've got about 15 years before shit really starts hitting the fan, that and the rise of authoritarianism in Western governments, extreme wealth inequality, growing poverty and housing shortages I just don't think I can provide a good life if I had any kids.
What do those in the Daily Mail comment section say? Don't have them if you can't afford them.
I've answered your question now answer mine.
What is the process scientists say is causing climate change and what about the process do you say is wrong?
-

No I never wore one and they never got ill either. Funny thing was lots of other people wore theme masks which had the same effect as nothing at all. Strange times indeed.

So let's pause on your CCMB id. You are a guy who has worked with the same company for 35 years, who has a 6 year old child and both your parents with dementia, yeah?

Why are you interested, seriously , and I’ve been in the same job since the YTS scheme and had my son late , my wife is younger. No further information is needed is it ?

What "data" is open to question? Climate change is a FACT. The data collected is verifiable.
Are you suggesting the scientists involved are fabricating facts?

Verifiable by who funds it ?

I work in an institution endowed/sponsored extensively by the Waltons and Wrigleys. Think mega foundations (Waltons own Walmart). If they had a bias you'd imagine it would be anti-climate change because it's disruptive to their business model. My institution collects data on climate change and its impacts. Everyone here knows climate change is a fact. That all doesn't seem to fit your supposition that we are biased because of our sponsors. Is that good enough for you? Or are you implicitly calling us all self-sacrificing (given our sponsors) liars?

Walmart / Asda
A pound of sliced Ham wrapped in plastic
A loaf of bread wrapped in plastic
A Pint of milk in a plastic bottle
Kids nappies in a plastic covering
A Take away salad in a plastic tub
A plastic bottle of tomato sauce
A plastic bottle of Salad Cream
And so on for around 1,000 lines of products.
But they won’t give you a plastic bag as it’s bad for the environment :hehe:

It was a typo ,I was multitasking and chatting on a phone ,it happens from time to time especially when this messageboard is supposed to be downtime from a busy day.

Somebody forgot to log out and then in with the right account before posting the reply.
I wonder if there is any clue who it could have been? :sherlock:

Not the guy who chipped in supportively less than a minute later who had previous form of something similar with the former poster RonnieBird, surely?

because the government brought in legislation about plastic bags, if it was up to Asda they'd still be giving them away

A psychiatrist of considerable expertise would struggle to accurately determine what goes on inside Cyril's addled swede.
He seems to post here between his numerous naps per day. The briefer those are, the grumpier he is.
During a more refreshing snooze he recalls the early 90s when shimmying down the fairway in his tartan plus fours having finally connected with his three wood off the tee to launch the ball 100 yards.
His intelligible contributions here, which were previously infrequent, are nowadays rarer than hen's teeth.
