Oh you lucky thing....
Wondering why he’s moaned about the quality of the squad to then continue to play Wintle and Siopis in a defensive midfield pairing at home in a winnable game.
.....yes...we all do....this should have been a banker home win.

But it’s not like we sat back, we were in control up until the awful goal conceded. Looked lost after their first goal though.

We still haven’t solved the midfield issue and I don’t think Turnbull type is what we need when we have Ramsey and Colwill.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v PRESTON NORTH END. Match thread
Ramsey for Wintle. Wilson-Esbrand for Bowler.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v PRESTON NORTH END. Match thread
Currently, Preston are on 45pts the same as 6th-placed Hull, and yet they have a -9 goal difference. We don't even look like threatening their goal.

Whilst I dont entirely disagree, we had 3 shots (back passes) and NG gave the ball away on the edge of their box.
Just don't look a theat at all in front of goal.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v PRESTON NORTH END. Match thread

Can anyone really tell me this is better than the shit we've seen over the last couple of seasons?

Extremely poor today.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v PRESTON NORTH END. Match thread
Not sure why the commentators are bigging up Grant...he's done nothing.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v PRESTON NORTH END. Match thread
Have some of these other players ever met!
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v PRESTON NORTH END. Match thread
Surprised how poor Nat Phillips is in the air. Very disappointing.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v PRESTON NORTH END. Match thread
I can't believe how shit this has turned out. After a scrappy start, we played quite well in the first half. Second half, we've just been aimless and clueless. ****ing shit.

Since conceding we have done nothing.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v PRESTON NORTH END. Match thread
Preston won’t have an easier 3 points

Re: CARDIFF CITY v PRESTON NORTH END. Match thread
It was round about now we started playing at Deepdale
A repeat would be good

Don't know who this pair of clowns are but they're clueless.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v PRESTON NORTH END. Match thread
It's been diabolical.
Why change the side that won last week?
To be fair to Preston they did a job on us.

And giving the players nick names, Sio, Siopis and then at one point his full name. Grant as KG, just say their bloody names.
Still early doors and to early to judge but an unimpressive start for the new players.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v PRESTON NORTH END. Match thread
i wonder if bulut will take credit for this as much as he tells us all about his genius when they scrape a lucky draw or win together
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v PRESTON NORTH END. Match thread
Another evening of moaning, muttering & being grumpy. Must have been Preston’s easiest game of the season, so comfortable for them.

Can say that about a lot of teams we've lost to this season.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v PRESTON NORTH END. Match thread
That was awful. Bulut has a lot to answer for. 2 tough games next week. We need to start winning soon otherwise we will be dragged into a relegation battle.

i took a glimpse at his post match interview notes. They include :
- The team didnt listen to me (this means he sucks as a coach)
- I told the substitutes to win but they didnt (see point 1)
- The team needs to stop passing back so much! (see point 1)
- ugh ugh.. TRANSFER MARKET! (mhmm..but isnt your job to manage the team? yknow..get the best from what you have? the same players that had leeds, lecister and ipswich on the backfoot at the start of the season?)
- Ref!!!!! (behave yourself...we lost the game around the poor refereeing)
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v PRESTON NORTH END. Match thread
He's not about to set up any more positive away at West Brom either is he.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v PRESTON NORTH END. Match thread
At least the egg ballers are showing speed and passion....5-7 atm....
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v PRESTON NORTH END. Match thread
Wintle as captain sets the tone right from the off. He's as dull and uninspiring as they come.
The sight of Bowler pulling his hair band into place after running into another dead-end and conceding possession once again.
Etete, jogging towards his opponent when carrying out a 'press', then minutes later on his arse waving his hands claiming a foul.
Siopis, someone please tell him that he's allowed to move the ball forward!
And when you look at the other players, there's just no spark, no desire, nothing... just flat.

I cannot add much more....what a pathetic home record ...for some years....
