Re: CARDIFF CITY v STOKE CITY. Match thread
Certainly a more interesting game than Tuesday.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v STOKE CITY. Match thread
Think he may soon be subbed (why?) but Wilson-Esbrand has done ok today.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v STOKE CITY. Match thread
We will win. More because stoke are terrible. However These subs are ridiculous. Even if we win (which we will) this shows bulut is not up to it.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v STOKE CITY. Match thread
colins for colwill...he isnt happy until we are cowering in our own box
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v STOKE CITY. Match thread
Strange subs.....Colwill STILL cannot play 90 mins?......Bowler playing better today.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v STOKE CITY. Match thread
it usually goes up a certain creek without a certain paddle when we make these subs.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v STOKE CITY. Match thread
Well it’s going to be 25 mins under the cosh then, 2 main attacking outlets for a left back and a target winger

He's never going to be able get fitness up to play 90 minutes if he keeps taking him off midway through the second half. Colwill didn't appear to be struggling injury or fitness wise

Re: CARDIFF CITY v STOKE CITY. Match thread
FFS
More defensive changes.
Any confidence we might have got from scoring twice early in the game will have evaporated by the end of the game.
We could and should have taken these to the cleaners after our start.
We get a bit of bad luck, that is all it was, with their goal and its return to type.
My patience with the seemingly pig-headedness of our manager is getting rather strained.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v STOKE CITY. Match thread
Can’t get out of our half since the changes, so fecking predictable

Deeper and deeper......We all know what is going to happen.....

That change strikes me as a tactical rather than fitness-related sub

Re: CARDIFF CITY v STOKE CITY. Match thread
esbrand wins a great freekick..take him off for a midfielder...
etete class in transision...take him off for dodo who looks worse than meite somehow

Both took knocks didn’t they?

Bulut thought they were too attacking and needed replacing

Re: CARDIFF CITY v STOKE CITY. Match thread
I'll be livid if we win, we had a nice losing steak going

Re: CARDIFF CITY v STOKE CITY. Match thread
Turnbull has very little awareness of what’s going on behind him.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v STOKE CITY. Match thread
Both Etete and Wilson-Esbrand were asking to come off to be fair to Bulut. Even then, why Turnbull with Tanner on the bench?
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v STOKE CITY. Match thread
Stoke are currently in the bottom three in the live table
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v STOKE CITY. Match thread
What has happened to Collins, he looks a liability ?!

I find Turnbull so underwhelming
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v STOKE CITY. Match thread
This is pretty underwhelming...we ARE at home aren't we?

Know what you mean, I was expecting more but he doesn’t seem to add anything to our limited midfield

We think we have goal scoring problems but they are struggling to score more than us (hard to believe but its true)
Ill bump this later.
There we go. And stoke in the bottom 3. They wont get out.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v STOKE CITY. Match thread
Great result, well done Bulut and team!!
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v STOKE CITY. Match thread
Great result. Less said about the subs, the better.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v STOKE CITY. Match thread

How? Because he didn't bring the player you wanted on? Surely, if we win his substitutions will have been the right ones.
Grant took a knock, Colwill has no stamina.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v STOKE CITY. Match thread
Very very fortunate.....WHY WHY WHY do we go defensive when a team are there for the beating? Even at the end Meite had two good opportunities to forge onwards goal and get a third...but decided to dally around...and of course eventually lost the ball.
Terrible terrible substitutions....all the wrong signals.

#BulutFC
get your tongue out of his backside ffs. No manager is bigger than the team

No its not always win means everything the manager did is right and lose means everything he did is wrong.
No surprise we won because of how bad stoke are and i said before the game we would win no problem today.
However against a side who werent as bad as stoke the way we approached the last half hour means we will concede more often than not with that approach.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v STOKE CITY. Match thread
We scored a couple of goals and the game offered, at times, some entertainment and even some half decent passages of play from City. Grant MOM by a country mile- the rest were OK but Colwill was below par- too many wrong decisions.

I really hope that I’m wrong, and it is early days but…..all he does is run around. He never tackles anyone and if he happens across the ball he passes it backwards or sideways.
He had 6 touches after he came on against Blackburn.
Massively disappointing so far.

Agreed.
Not great but better than the Blackburn game which was better than the previous performance.

Who suggested that? Find me a feasible replacement and I'm all ears.

I don’t think that we were lucky. Stoke hardly peppered our goal.
Now, we were lucky against Watford but everyone seemed to think that we’d turned some sort of corner :-/

I think they DID pepper our goal latter part of the second half......
