Him and Ashford offering the little threat we have.

So much for betting on Cardiff to win by one goal grrr

Re: ROTHERHAM UTD v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Wintle and Siopis hasn't worked all season as a partnership.
There is no pace in this side other than Tanner.

Re: ROTHERHAM UTD v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Tanner to Ashford, Ashford to Turnbull, lovely run by Ashford...pass it..pass..pass..pas..****ING PAAAAAASSSSSSSS... move over too slow. Amazing.

Re: ROTHERHAM UTD v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
If this seals Buluts fate I’m all for letting the weather boys win

Re: ROTHERHAM UTD v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
I don't rate Turnbull. Neat and tidy is all he offers. Too slow on and off the ball.
-
Re: ROTHERHAM UTD v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
One significant change, it looks as though Bowler has had a shampoo & set, very Hyacinth Bucket.

He'll just say this proves why he needs complete control of all aspects.

But only if one of the goals was scored from our own half, and another was scored by the goalkeeper.

Re: ROTHERHAM UTD v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Ollie Tanner and Ashford are boss down the left at the moment. As I said, Tanner ‘s service on the overlap is outstanding. I have counted 6 good crosses from the left and his interplay with Ashford look natural. Need to keep this.

Re: ROTHERHAM UTD v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Tanner and Ashford the bright sparks.

Bowler's just not bothered. Consistently overhitting passes, not offering himself, not helping Romeo. So glad he's playing.

Re: ROTHERHAM UTD v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
What would be our other options up top if he wasn't playing Diedhiou?
Anyone else think he might be signing in the summer?
2-1 :hehe:

Defense on their summer holidays already

Re: ROTHERHAM UTD v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Yeah. Ashford inverting pulls the right back inside and is giving Tanner heaps of room on the outside to his his left wand.
Alternatively when Ashford has inverted to the inside, and the full back was in two minds, Ashford has been given the opening to cut over and lay off or shoot.
This relationship looks well coached and the understanding is very good. If we can do the same solution on the right next season, then this system should work well.
Providing we sort out mobility in the central midfield, with maybe Eli King able to be part of the fix.

Re: ROTHERHAM UTD v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Bowler left the full back free twice today and both have resulted in goals.
-
Re: ROTHERHAM UTD v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Pull Bowler and Turnbull off at half time.
Colwill in the 10 Conte outwide.

He also hit a shot straight at the keeper, and then had an age with the ball in the box off a corner and hit it first time, looked good on the replay but completely the wrong choice. Ive noticed when he moves with the ball on the wing he's so slow at deciding if he should taker the defender on the left or right 2 players make it back to cover him :hehe:in contrast to Ashford on the other side...

Re: ROTHERHAM UTD v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Some pretty shoddy performance that half.....for goodness sake get some of the 'experienced' players off. Passing has generally been shocking....and why did we have to go behind before we woke up? What a way to be ending the season...Tan won't be happy...
-
Re: ROTHERHAM UTD v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Can't wait to see the back of Bowler. I'm assuming he's played so much as it's in his loan contract because he continues to be a waste of shirt.
Turnbull is a waste of time as well and we lack pace between Siopis and Wintle.
Only positive is Ashford and Tanner.
Diedhiou is an awful striker.

Re: ROTHERHAM UTD v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
All the teams we could overtake are losing, you’d think we could have beaten these and finished 9th!

Some good questions. The strategy is redundant unless we are behind with 10 minutes left.

I doubt he will give a feck personally

Re: ROTHERHAM UTD v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
I honestly don't think we'd be worse if he tried McGuinness at striker second half instead of Diedhiou. At least he'd fecking run.

Get in Tanner. He's played well today him and Ashford.
