This, among a whole host of reasons, is the main one why to me Bulut should NOT be managing our club. Pathetic isn't it?

Positive vibes, 2-1 Cardiff to kick start the season!

Harsh but fair.

Re: DERBY COUNTY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Today's team was picked by lancelot ball machine number 3

On the bright side, it allows us to have our long serving tea lady Beryl Ulut on the bench this afternoon, so that's a nice touch from the club.

Re: DERBY COUNTY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Luton Town's win at Millwall 'lifts them out of the relegation zone'. I wonder when or if we'll be able to say that.

Yes and no.
Yes as I agree.
No as Derbys striker today is on loan from Swansea and james Collins is on the bench. They've had a great start and scored a few goals. Not sure those are that significantly better than our options?
-
Re: DERBY COUNTY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Yates and Collins have well over 300 league goals between them. Think it’s far better.
-
Re: DERBY COUNTY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Everything good is involving Colwill and already got Adams booked.
-
Re: DERBY COUNTY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Our commentary team must be the worst in the pyramid.

Might as well be the only one of our front 6 on the pitch right now

We have a front 6?

I do wonder why we don’t use an ex player as a co-commentator rather than whoever this is

May 2027 in League 2.
-
Re: DERBY COUNTY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Hopefully that scuffle at swansea was the last time we see bulut on the touchline for us.
What's sabri doing now? Wonder if he would fancy a return to save us again. He got all the big wins when he needed to be fair.
Just hope we don't promote internally but we will. That guy from Watford is taking over isn't he?

Chances of colwill being blamed for this defeat?
-
Re: DERBY COUNTY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Chasing the game. The only part of the game plan that works every week.

Colwill is getting frustrated with Siopis. Robertson should be on.

If we can score today it will be our 3000th goal in the second tier of the league.
-
Re: DERBY COUNTY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
More woeful defending. Could have been 2.

Have you been counting the other 2999 for the first 37 minutes of the game? Probably more entertaining than watching or listening to the game to be fair.

Radio on, City spreadsheet open, slippers on, cup of tea, cigar, new mankini, usual away day for me.

Not going to happen!

Re: DERBY COUNTY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
We’re so easy to open up and we’ve not got any threat up front - classic indicators of a relegation team. Lose today and Oxford and Derby, two teams widely tipped to struggle, will be eight points in front of us.
Just like every side in the division, Derby are making us look ponderous.

As much as I wanted bulut out I never really thought he'd take us down. I just thought bulut ball would get us about 16th in a really boring season.
I was wrong. If he stays we are going down.
-
Re: DERBY COUNTY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Been caused a lot of trouble in this first half by an average team. Thoughts of doing the same in any home game doesn’t even enter our minds.
-
Re: DERBY COUNTY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Other than Colwill and maybe Bagan it’s been complete shite, we are making a hard working physical honest bottom 6 side look like Barcelona at times.
There are a million questions but two obvious ones - how are we ever planning to get goals, and how many times do we have to be completely terrible with the Ralls/Siopis partnership before he will consider something different?
-
Re: DERBY COUNTY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Abysmal style of football.
They are happy to let us have the ball because they know we can’t do anything incisive with it.
Thought people have been harsh in Siopis, but he really has been poor this season.
Depressing!
-
Re: DERBY COUNTY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Same old same old. No pace in the midfield or outwide again.
El Ghazi isn't fit.
Chambers and Goutas don't work as a back two.
-
Re: DERBY COUNTY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Bulut will be gone by the end of the month......hopefully.
-
Re: DERBY COUNTY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Final minute there just about sums us up
-
Re: DERBY COUNTY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Think Kangahas done better in this game, not in terms of looking like scoring (he’s playing for Cardiff after all), but his hold up play has been pretty good.
-
Re: DERBY COUNTY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
There's still 45 + to go. Plenty of time to get something out of this. Save the doom and gloom for the final whistle if it doesn't go our way. There's 10 other City players out there as well as Siopis. I said last week it's lazy to keep using him as the fall guy and I'll say it again.

I dread to think what we are paying El-Ghazi and Chambers, they look like they are on the seniors retirement tour already
