It will be interesting to know the answer to this, once again the experts are way out.

You don't have to pick a side and blindly follow them. A better strategy would be to view things from all angles and then work out what is actually going on. I'm not a Trumpist by any means, but when I saw the Russia collusion nonsense I called it out for what it was, and a lot of people didn't like me for that :hehe:

My daughter pointed out today that Trump is a woman-beater.
He Lost to Joe, but he beat Clinton and Harris.
So he only beats women, the bully. :hehe:

Politics aside, I just can’t for the life of my understand how a convicted rapist, sex pest and felon can be elected as the head of any country never mind the United States. No doubt most on here are husbands, have daughters and granddaughters. Do you honestly hand on heart agree with this vile, dangerous individual being President?

Bernie Sanders:
“It should come as no great surprise that a Democratic party which has abandoned working-class people would find that the working class has abandoned them. First, it was the white working class, and now it is Latino and Black workers as well. While the Democratic leadership defends the status quo, the American people are angry and want change. And they’re right....
"Today, despite strong opposition from a majority of Americans, we continue to spend billions funding the extremist Netanyahu government’s all out war against the Palestinian people which has led to the horrific humanitarian disaster of mass malnutrition and the starvation of thousands of children.
"Will the big money interests and well-paid consultants who control the Democratic party learn any real lessons from this disastrous campaign? Will they understand the pain and political alienation that tens of millions of Americans are experiencing? Do they have any ideas as to how we can take on the increasingly powerful oligarchy which has so much economic and political power? Probably not.
"In the coming weeks and months those of us concerned about grassroots democracy and economic justice need to have some very serious political discussions."

I think he's spot on about the abandoning of the working class. It's been happening for years. Not just abandoned but in some cases actively hostile towards the way people think, their concerns, culture, how they live, even where they eat and drink. It's been happening for years, certainly in the UK, presumably in the US too (I think it started there personally) and across Europe too.
There is a great book on it by the trade unionist Paul Embery.

Getting old is no fun, but being able to recall what happened in UK and USA elections over a period of sixty years because you were there to see them does provide you with some insight into these things I feel. Yesterday I must admit to being a bit baffled that Trump had gone beyond the 47/48 per cent figure that those apparently in the know were telling us was the limit of what he could achieve, but I'd say it's a truism to believe that when an incumbent party is perceived to have failed on the economy it loses power in the next election I would guess about ninety per cent of the time.
There'll be all sorts of reasons put forward as to why the Democrats lost so heavily, but maybe the answer is the one that usually decides elections - that is, it was principally because they were deemed to have failed a test which has stood since well before my time - did the economy improve under our watch?

I must admit to scepticism about the WEF and The Great Reset but I have to admit that Schwab installing his puppet can only mean that the timeline will accelerate from here, right?

True, though the few occasions I [and everyone else] has seen Harris speak, it's probably fair to say she sounded like a teacher's assistant talking to 2 yr olds in a nursery. Gaff-prone Biden would have been no worse..

Re: 2024 US Presidential Election
I suppose there's a chance it will not apply by the time all of the votes are counted, but I've just noticed that Trump is around two million votes down on what he got in 2020 - compared to the Democrats though who, at the moment, have lost fourteen million votes in the four years since the last election, it's nothing.

Don't bring up the timeline, the only person on here with access to it it accidentally put money on Harris to win

I guessed on one of these threads a few weeks ago that the Democrats would be badly hurt by alienated progressive/Arab/Muslim voters abstaining rather than switching to Trump or to one of the third party candidates.
I haven't looked in detail at most of the results, but in Michigan (the swing state that was most likely to punish the Democrats for arming Netanyahu) the Democrat vote was well down, whilst the combined Jill Stern and Cornell West vote was only half of the Republican majority (Kennedy and Chase would not have benefitted from that particular section of the electorate switching).
It looks like a significant part of the Biden vote just stayed at home.

If they stayed at home and didn't vote then I'm not sure how you could identify them as either a Trump or Biden vote..

It looks like a majority of the American voting public are either extremely self centered or stupid
Or both
I mean we had a little bit of that over here with the Boris vote but thankfully it didn't last long
