Earlier in the day of the draw I had a good look at odds on who would win the FA Cup, decided Villa at 8/1 was the best value, and put a decent sized stake on it.

chap next to me said either Tuesday / Wednesday this week but nothing official yet

i guess they will go with a criteria first maybe season ticket holders who have been away twice or more will get first dibs ? then go down the chain

£25/£20/£10 for ticket prices.

We've got usual away 'end' on the side of the pitch and the upper tier behind the goals. Which is same as Spurs had, so 6,400. West Ham had a slightly smaller allocation in round 3, but were given their additional tickets on the side of the pitch rather than behind goals.

I had no trouble buying my ticket, but the email they sent says "{NewVersion] Booking Confirmation - Aston Villa v Cardiff City. FA Cup 5th Round" in the subject and "Mjml not supported with old version templates" in the body of the email.

We've had decent away support this season tbf, 1,400 to Portsmouth on a Tuesday, sold out away end this weekend for instance so there's probably quite a few who've done 1

I think you have to add them as a friend. They get an email and they have to accept. This happens just once

Easily. ~4 hours to sell whatever was left and open to all ST holders and members. Definitely would’ve sold 1000 more in the next week.

The club are losing out on valuable cash flow making this decision, I appreciate they may be on a sale no return but they will trouser £150 k or more from television and radio rights for this game alone

Apparently every unsold ticket would’ve had to have been paid for. So for the sake of £25k we’ve cut the allocation by 1000.

Probably more like £15k as 45% of gate receipts go to us.

Bonkers decision, hopefully the club can ask Villa for the remainder unless they’re on sale to home fans.

Surely this is a police decision rather than CCFC. Doesnt make any sense, as Villa can't sell the tickets to anyone else because of the layout of the ground. Sale and return is usually used to sell the tickets to the home fans.

From what I've seen the first 5/10 rows behind the goal have never gone on sale on eticketing so I'm guessing that is where the surplus is.
