He's going for it. Expect loads of pressure from us in the first 20 minutes, before Bristol City get settled and work things out. **** knows how this one will go, but if i had to make a call, them i'm going 3-1 city.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY. Match thread
I've just realised. Rino is probably in midfield and Bagan CB?

Colwill often seems to play well against Bristol - hopefully he has one of his good games

Hope I’m wrong but not at all convinced by a midfield 3 of Rinomhota, Mannsverk and Colwill
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY. Match thread
Can we start a match on the front foot for once. High press, get into them.
Probably not the day for tippy tappy between defenders.
Does this post make it into the "football phrases" thread?

Re: CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY. Match thread
Our midfield looking weak. Only Ramsey on bench as back up. Bristol will come at us all guns blazing. Bluebirds please do not concede first 20 mins.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY. Match thread
Quite a attacking starting X11 lets just hope the come out of the traps firing and score the opener to buck the recent trend.

Plenty of tippy tapping between our defenders:shrug:

Re: CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY. Match thread
Anyone who still thinks Bristol are our biggest rivals needs to have a listen to the crowd.
It’s like a parks game.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY. Match thread
Not much of an atmosphere eh?

Agreed.
More so against Portsmouth.
Needs a game on the bench.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY. Match thread
Alnwick's passing had been poor which is a surprise as it's normally a strength
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY. Match thread
Really quiet and slow so far. El Ghazi looks very half hearted about it all !

Ashford would be better suited to the switch of play

Ashford in half time….ajax guy looking decent

Re: CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY. Match thread
Oxford vs Portsmouth game interrupted, not sure why?
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY. Match thread
That Armstrong would be a massive help here.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY. Match thread
Slow start, not much quality on show.
I think (hope) it’ll kick into gear when someone gets the first goal. Conditions are ripe for quick breaks and silly mistakes.

I haven’t seen anything that would have come off if it was Ashford.
It’s all pretty lacklustre

Bristol City fans have been very critical of him. They complain about his lack of end-product.

They’ll know better than I will but he looks very fast and strong
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY. Match thread
Very slow but at least we ve not conceded .
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY. Match thread
The most boring derby for some time
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY. Match thread
Dullsville.
Very disappointing attendance/atmosphere compared to the derby against the JBs.

Absolutely Jon, the problem is that we haven't created anything in the final third....... :hehe:

Yeah, he was for QPR too. I think Bristol City paid decent money for him, he just hasn't delivered for them (not wanting to tempt fate).
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY. Match thread
This Bristol City outfit are poor, slow in possession and no quality in the final third, they really are there for the taking. We've defended alright, but can't get on the ball in midfield, there's way to much space in the centre of the pitch. And we don't create anything.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY. Match thread
We are too slow on our buildup. I'm not sure if it's how Riza wants us playing but he wants colwill to stay right and Robinson yo drop in on the left but it's making it too easy to defend.
El Ghazi has been really poor so far.
Began doing well at the back and I do like the look of Alves and Mansveerk
