Re: CARDIFF CITY v OXFORD UTD. Match thread
Why oh why do we have 5 on the edge of the box and one in the box and then we try to cross it. Like we've not quite twigged that you can have more than one in the box at the same time.

Willock has been good in this role, shows how much we know. Decent hanging cross for once.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v OXFORD UTD. Match thread
Willock off Meite on please
Nice 4-4-2 and something simple

Re: CARDIFF CITY v OXFORD UTD. Match thread
A bit of immaturity and inexperience from Ashford there.

Results really not going our way

Robertson let him know that immediately, and rightly so.

Been coming for a number of years. The arrogance in appointing Riza for most of the season finally done us in, but this has been inevitable for a while with the way we are managed from the top down.

Won 9. Lowest in the division. QED.

Just expected to win that.
Hit like a sledgehammer

Re: CARDIFF CITY v OXFORD UTD. Match thread
We don't deserve to stay up if we can't beat Oxford at home
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v OXFORD UTD. Match thread
And we see yet again what separates us from the other relegation candidates.
Others score for fun to give themselves a chance.
We whimper to a defeat or a draw at best.

We don't. Just not good enough, and i hope that fans can now see the limitations of this group of players as well as the board, previous management etc. This lot aren't very good, how much of them do people have to see.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v OXFORD UTD. Match thread
Signs were there that possibly this team with a better manager may have produced the goods... I guess we'll never know.
League One beckons even if not mathematically down and Hull to play Derby on the weekend, that goal difference is the nail on the coffin for any optimism.
What a cruel thunderbastard of a strike that was from Brannagan.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v OXFORD UTD. Match thread
Was that the best strike V Cardiff City since Marco Gabbiadini?
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v OXFORD UTD. Match thread
The whole club is a shit show and has been for years. Who can say with confidence we can get promoted from League 1?

you must have missed 90% of the season. we had a five match spell that was the highlight.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v OXFORD UTD. Match thread
Think you see the difference between Oxford hiring a Rowett and us giving Riza most of a season put into focus there. Players aren't good but neither are Oxford's, a real manager would have us surviving by the skin of our teeth again in my opinion. Like you say, we'll never know and maybe this is the catalyst for some actual change, this was always going to eventually happen the way we are run.

If something doesn't change with the way the club is run, no chance

It was, but we were in the ascendancy for the first 20 minutes or so of the 2nd half and the first 15 of the first half, and we created hardly anything. It's fine margins i suppose, but these players aren't up to it.

I've been thinking this all week, how did we overlook Rowett. He was appointed two weeks after we gave the job to Omer, surely we'd have sounded him out? Oxford were dropping like a stone until they switched managers.
We've picked up 24 points since they hired him, they've picked up 30. We were above Oxford by the time Rowett. Just a colossal **** up by the board yet again

Re: FT: CARDIFF CITY 1 - 1 OXFORD UTD. Match thread
Every other club fighting for survival is managing to grind out results when their backs are against the wall. There's little difference in the quality of the players - it's down to the management to get the best out of those players. It's no surprise that we've failed to do that throughout the season.

I'd say that will vaulks is a better player than Mannsverk, that's where we're at.
