This was done to death a year . Boys who knew him personally said he was City.
That tweet could mean anything.
Given that he was at games at NP and a very good mate of mine who was a fellow egger said he was City I know what I'd believe.

Re: Cardiff City top 10 most famous supporters
You've all missed out Phil Campbell from Motorhead, born in Pontypridd and a massive city fan... More massive than any of the nobbers mentioned above

Re: Cardiff City top 10 most famous supporters
Powell just comes across someone who wants Welsh teams to do well. He said as much on twitter. He's a big sports fan and is a prolific tweeter but hardly anything on Cardiff or Swansea. In fact out of the two I've seen him tweet last season that he hoped the "Swans" stayed up with a praying hand emoji.
Also he refers to the City as "Cardiff" and the Jacks as the "Swans". Most City fans don't refer to either in that way.
He may have gone to some games at NP but the guy is a bit of a social chameleon who seems to be here there and everywhere on the piss

Mike is a massive City fan. He’s also more famous than I guess all of us so he’s a good addiction to the thread.
An award winning animator his latest project I believe involves working with Mariah Carey.
Being the man behind Superted should make him famous enough anyway.
(And I’ve stayed at his home in Los Angeles)

Mike lived for a while in Maesycwmmer. He used to take me to games in the early 70's when i was a nipper. Went to loads of games with him and some other bloke. Most memorably the Everton, Stoke and Spurs games.
Loads and loads of trouble at the Everton game near Ninian Park Station when the Everton train was bricked. Missiles (stones) flying everywhere.
And yes, Mike is a life long City supporter.

Exactly. I'd say there's a lot more on this thread you could class as clutching at straws.
Andy Powell for starters :hehe:
Joe Calzaghe too

Don't you feckin start 😂
Calzaghe was most likely a publicity stunt, but he's definitely been photographed with a City shirt on

Back to Calzaghe he's a Juve fan

Re: Cardiff City top 10 most famous supporters
Surprised to see no mention of Paul McCartney. He wrote a song with the line "I'm a bluebird" repeated about a dozen times, what more do you want ffs

By the same token, what about VERA LYNN, her "BLUEBIRDS" were flying over Dover. :hehe:

Now that's actually true the 2nd paragraph brother
as a Cardiff lad
I refer Cardiff to as "the city" and our little brothers down west I refer to as "the "the jacks"
