slightly off topic, but I thought this was interesting.
in economic terms only Labour are about as left wing as their membership, and close to the centre of the UK population. the current Tories are FAR to the right of even their own members.
there are plenty of current Tory MPs who would happily sell off the NHS and anything else they could.

People vote for a brand not for policies, It's hard to articulate but it has been the case for years.
