Fair enough, let's leave it there. Your definition of a sportsman doesn't match anything official, but there we go.

I dunno, I've heard some fella online having a pop at people for not supporting their local team, when he supports Cardiff having been born closer to Swansea...

Support your local team pal. The closest one being "more local"
I've noticed you seem to pick and choose when the rules apply mind. Yet you're happy to have a pop at others.

People can support who they want, its you whos got an issue with people not supporting their local club. When it suits.
Someone from Merthyr supporting Wolves (100 miles away) Wrong.
Someone from Gwynedd supporting Cardiff City (200 miles away). Thats ok.
Contradiction? Not half.

You are missing the point.
I don't care who you support. You can support Chelsea if that makes you happy.
But going by your own standards for others, you should support Swansea.

thats where we are different
I think people who are Welsh, pretend to be Welsh and work for welsh sporting institutions should support welsh football teams whether they be cardiff , swansea , Newport Wrexham, bangor merthyr , whatever
Not living slap bang in the middle of South wales and sucking up to man united

Agreed, it's about a couple of pints down the pub with your mates and for good players a minibus ride once a week in season to another pub to do the same thing.
.....and an excuse to get away from the missus and Eastenders for an evening.

But you should be a jack.
According to the rules you beat others with
(under the guise of being a wind up merchant)
JB.

Not for the professionals it isnt.
Meeting up with your mates and getting away from the missus once a week could apply to any sport played as a hobby and not professionally.

At times, it's a good laugh yes. It's also nice to talk football.
You can't bash people for not supporting their local team in one post, where you also mention distance, when you're literally down the road from Swansea.
I don't care a **** if someone was born next to the vetch and choose to support Cardiff, that's their choice. But by your own logic you should follow the Jack's.. But you've managed to also twist that to include Welsh people supporting Welsh teams.. Which brings me to the very good point made by JR..

Not often does Sludge get a leathering (to his disappointment), but he's had one in this thread.

you don't like anyone criticising darts as you love it
I am afraid you are going to have to live with that

Like stated, am here to talk football but it is a good thing to also have a laugh. You of all people should know not to take my single comment literally. You are clinging to that quote to save you in this thread, even though people in this thread know I contribute well to the football threads on here.
Off you go, Jack.
Edit. Aren't you a self proclaimed WUM? or is that only when the odds suit you and you've got your little band of merry men to back you up?
