I don't know if money is the issue here, plenty of rich people are able to get a message across to poor people. Rishi is actually a terrible communicator, I guess that is why they are hiding him away.

Absolutely mental that you think this is normal language to use. Politicians get death threats every day.

I doubt it, but then the same could be said about anything. None of it is pleasant at all and it definitely wins no one round to your points aside from other whacks.
People like you and Doucas need to remember you are talking about peoples friends, parents, partners or family members if not themselves. Fk knows why you think it's okay to come online and start talking about liquidating people and grim shit like that. Ugly as hell. If I caught my kids reading reading stuff like that online I'd be absolutely fuming tbh.

I would worry about proper nasty stuff in today's world which is easily accessible to kids online rather than a football site
I think you are being pathetic and sound like Mary Whitehouse
She was a silly old tory too

Oh so tories inflict misery on millions and millions to make their mates and donors richer at the expense of everyone else but some mean words online about them and their supporters, that's too far? Boo hoo.
Another line you said 'for a socialist you do seem to hate society'
Well yeah, when you have a society that can't solve problems because it's structured to make the wealthiest richer at the expense of everyone else and the planet. I don't know what you expect?
Ps - while you were frothing at the mouth watching GB news rant about transgender people (what right wing outlets do to distract the plebs from everything going to shit) with your night I was with my girlfriend. So don't talk to me about 'getting out of the hole I'm in'.

Seems like this driver had enough.
The drivers work under appalling conditions, many working split shifts for poor wages.
Then you have the added stress of dealing with the public many of which are pissed off with unreliable services and those who are just rude and aggressive.
Not to mention the routes which are downright dangerous.
The Drivers must be under a ton of stress for very little reward.

I agree; it's constantly the low paid who are being exploited and treated harshly by these greedy privateers.

Think it depends on the company and routes. My mate is a bus driver. He loves it. Regular routes, decent customers etc. Can see how it could be stressful mind.
Either way, the driver in this case has clearly haf some kind of breakdown as you can't just leave people stranded like that. I hope he'll be okay

It depends on which people. They might have been a group of whingeing Tories on an outing to Dorset to see the Bibby Stockholm. In which case the driver was following best practice by dumping them.

I can't slag off someone for their closed minded right-leaning BS (in another thread), without picking you up on this ridiculous nonsense. I know you think you're joking, but grow up.

I'll admit to being a little confused about how much of the German rail system is under state control, and how much is privately run. All I do know is that DB is a huge shitshow and has become a national embarrassment. Worse, dare I say, than our own system.

I've always been very impressed with German intercity travel, which I understood to be state owned, although I also have never cared particularly either way and never looked into it. Perhaps it is a mixed system.
Certainly it always used to serve me well. Also excellent is the U and S-bahns in various big cities.
What I don't think many of us do appreciate when looking at these networks, which we are far more likely to use as tourists, is that a lot of the smaller towns etc have much slower and less frequent train services which I often found to be worse than the UK really.
Overall I think it is a better network and better prices, but perhaps things are deteriorating. What are the issues, Peter?

Where should I start? Years of under investment is the simple answer. Happy to debate beyond that..........

The issue with Neoliberalism ,is eventually you run out of public money to hand over to the corporations.
It also effects critical thinking, something we see a lot.
