Due to the scores of the past.
I put £10 for a 5-3 at 80/1

Re: CARDIFF CITY v PETERBOROUGH UTD. Match thread
Can't believe we're starting up again tomorrow afternoon. I've had a lot happening on a personal level in recent months, so the close-season has flown by, but nothing much seems to have changed at the club in the meantime. I'm genuinely amazed we haven't made a single signing this summer. Didn't see that coming at all.
Of course, we do have Brian Barry-Bonkers in the dugout now and I'm hopeful he'll be a step up on the last couple of bums. He couldn't be any worse, surely? As for the team, let's hope they find some spirit and fight from somewhere, because they showed precious little of it last season. With a bit of luck, League One will be Golden Boy's level, because the Championship certainly wasn't. And although we haven't made any new signings, let's look on the bright side - at least we'll get to see Ryan Wintle in a City shirt again. If that doesn't get the crowds flooding back, nothing will.

We've had three seasons of managers/coaches playing possession based football with little or no genuine pace in the squad. Football has begun to wean itself off the Guardiola philosophy, and counter attacking football with fewer passes is becoming the norm. We were unable to do that and I don't see us being able to cause too much damage at this level either. Does BBM hope to bring his Man City experiences to fruition here ? As much as I like to watch good football, when it's going nowhere it's pointless. I hope I'm being over pessimistic, but I just can't picture this squad hurting anyone, even in League 1.

I think that we're going down the PSG route, which is a more advanced level of the Klopp style at Liverpool...... :hehe:

Brian Barry-Bonkers?
You've already made your mind up about him?
I'm also disappointed with the lack of signings this summer; but haven't we at least signed a 'keeper?

They're going to reveal him like they do the new shirt during the off season.

We will piss it . Whilst we haven't signed many/any we have retained the heart of last seasons squad , which wasnt that bad . New leadership will show us the way....
What odds will you give me TLG?

I'm not good at spotting jokes, but I I can see this one. "Wasn't that bad"? So how come they finished bottom?

I know very little about him and have no opinion whatsoever regarding his managerial abilities. The clips I've seen of him being interviewed were full of modern-day managerial speak and were a bit boring, but I'd expect that given his background. I have absolutely no idea whether he'll be up to the task or not. We'll find out in due course.
If we have signed a keeper, the club have forgotten to make the news public.

City were widely available at 8/1 to win League One before Luton kicked off, so I'll give you 5/2.

For some reason this morning I keep getting Echo & The Bunnymen “Bring on the dancing horses” in my head.
Read it whichever way you will.

Here we go again. Genuinely excited for this. Sun is shining, football is back. Let’s do this.

The sun won’t be out for long. Forecast says overcast from 11. Hope it’s not an omen :-)
