I guess that is one scenario.

Another is that Netanyahu will decide that the only way to stay in power (and possibly out of prison) is to continue to side with the ultranationalists and warmongering elements of his fragile coalition in Smotrich and Ben-Gvir.

In this view they will continue to try and trigger friction on the West Bank, undermine the peace plan in Gaza and try to agitate their neighbours.

Based on how Putin has played Trump since Alaska then he may think it is the lesser of his own two evils!

Yes - that is now close to established fact. The beginning of Phase 1 was pushed through by Trump.

But Sludge was calling out Heath on calling him 'the president of peace' as well as repeating MAGA lies about a stolen election.

Trump was the main reason Israel was able to break the last ceasefire in March - he encouraged them. He continued to provide arms, money and diplomatic cover. If he is now claiming credit for the release of the Israeli hostages (and hopefully some of the Palestinian hostages and prisoners) and enabling the start of UN-managed aid into Gaza, he must also take major responsibility for the thousands of civilian murders at the hands of the IOF this year!

There are enough people kissing his arse and blowing smoke - we don't all have to join in!

Anyone who thinks Trumps reason for arranging a peace deal is anything to do with peace, really doesn't understand the man.

And BBC's constant coverage of hostages being reunited with family is distasteful, when you consider the number of innocent Palestinians that have been murdered.

If you can't be happy about innocent hostages being returned to their families after two years then, genuinely, you need some help. I hope you get it.

Not sure if he is or not but he'll be along in a minute to say that he doesn't trust any of them, then he'll say something about winding up the ccmb usual suspects or brigade or somesuch even though literally no one cares, then he'll at some point get upset himself and say someone's stalking him or tell you to sit down and shut the f**k up, then he'll gleefully start a "windup" thread that he planned at the family barbecue which only gets a handful of slightly confused replies and so the pattern continues :hehe: :old:
