You can imagine the pressure they're under from the Government who will cut their funding if they don't toe the line.

From the never reported British Jews who support the ban - and demonstrate against genocide in Palestine:

And we know the government are under pressure from donors and the ultra-capitalist class.

I don’t usually buy into the criticism of the BBC, but the bias of their coverage in recent months has been ****ing disgraceful.
The game was due to take place last night, Mr Icke
It's on the front page or the BBC news website this morning!

When I posted my message there was nothing at all on the BBC website, Mr Farage. The game had been postponed more than two hours earlier. The report eventually appeared around a quarter of an hour later.

Two hours on a Sunday night for updates from the Israeli Premier League! BBC sort it out! 😉

Oddly enough Boris, the rest of the major news outlets were carrying reports within minutes of the game being cancelled. But it took the BBC more than two hours to report it, and when they eventually did their report was initially tucked away at the bottom of their football pages. Curious considering the extensive headline coverage they’d given every aspect of the decision to ban Maccabi Tel Aviv fans from the Villa game earlier in the week.
As I’ve said, I’m not someone who normally knocks the BBC, but there is no doubt whatsoever that their coverage has had a distinct bias in recent months.
So, how do you feel about the Villa ban now? Do you still believe the authorities should bend over backwards and spend large sums of public money to accommodate the Israeli hooligans in Birmingham?

The BBC is typically slower with such stories. You will always see it on Twitter first, then the Mail. The BBC tends to be a little more cautious.
Umm, yeah. I think football fans should be able to watch their teams and the police should be able to mitigate for it. Moreover, as a country I think we should be able to prove that they can attend, be made welcome and it can pass peacefully.

Does the freedom of football fans to watch a match outweigh the freedom of innocent people to go about their peaceful business without being physically attacked?
Given that said football fans can easily watch the match on television this seems a limp cause to promote.

Stephen Yaxley-Lennon (after his state-sponsored Israel visit) plans to be in Birmingham on 6 November to support Maccabi Tel-Aviv!

I don't. I can see no logical reason for the UK welcoming a bunch of thugs from the Middle East. We have enough of our own as it is.

Re: Police commissioner requests 'immediate review' of decision to ban Maccabi Tel Aviv fans
It's a game of football lads.
They haven't been banned by FIFA or UEFA for the match. Whoever made the initial decision has turned this into a story that nobody otherwise would be talking about.
Most people probably didn't know or give a **** that villa are playing some Israeli team.
Just another instance of the weak police bending the knee to pressure from their Islamic overlords. Awful. When even bloody keir shows some spine you know the initial decision was a bad one.

Jewish Voice for Labour (now Jewish Voice for Liberation) have a very uncomplimentary view of the the pro-Israel lobby group Campaign Against Antisemitism too!

I mean, the people of Swansea would say the exact same about us. I'm sure many in Glasgow would rather fans be banned from away games and I suspect a pretty penny was spent on policing Liverpool v Man United yesterday.
As an aside - and I freely admit that Maccabi Tel Aviv have their share of thugs - but every video I have seen from yesterday involves Hapoel Tel Aviv (who play in red and white) who are their rivals, and were the home side. Just an observation that is. I don't doubt Maccabi fans contributed to the chaos, as these things are very seldom one sided.

Not sure if you're aware of this, but Cardiff is in South Wales as opposed to the Middle East.
