I can't see how the low calibre of labour AMs is being overlooked by the same people who are questioning the calibre of Mark Reckless just because of the party he represents. On 1 Feb 2012:
Mark Reckless voted against those who have been ill or disabled since their youth recieving Employment and Support Allowance on the same basis as if they had made sufficient National Insurance contributions to qualify for a contribution based allowance.

On 1 Feb 2012:
Mark Reckless voted not to make an exception for those with a cancer diagnosis or undergoing cancer treatment from the 365 day limit on receiving contribution based Employment and Support Allowance.

On 9 Mar 2011:
Mark Reckless voted to introduce Universal Credit and Personal Independence Payments and to restrict housing benefit for those in social housing deemed to have excess bedrooms.

its no coincidence that votes for ukip have gone through the roof, when you look at the state of the two main parties in britain who could not run a bath between them :hehe:

ukip are certainly under represented in parliament, and by the time the next general election comes along , they will be ukip mp,s crashing through the westminster doors in droves. :thumbup:

many people have had enough of the two tier system in this country, which basically changes absolutely nothing, they just cancel each other out every 4 or 5 years. :thumbup:

i think by the time the next election comes along, nationalism will be rife in many parts of the country :thumbup:, the immigration problem will not go away, and as been out of control for many years now. :wave:

Nothing of what you've said here demands UKIP. It does demand voting reform; greater transparency about who is lobbying behind closed door - doubly so considering scientists and charities are/have been threatened; party funding review (across all parties rather than just your main opposition); fewer condescending events like "clean for the Queen" and more events to encourage/make it easier for people from all walks of life to get engaged beyond voting for what they did last time or who employs dead cat strategies.

The feelings behind voting for UKIP aren't necessarily wrong (and are rarely racial) but UKIP don't necessarily offer anything politically for those voting for them.

Key point being 'best represents'. Nobody is going to agree with everything a party says, but you can choose then that you agree most with.

UKIP had 14% of the vote (roughly) and returned 7AMs. If anything, they're under-represented

Politics doesn't happen once every so often when you get to vote and rebel against those who haven't done anything for your area. If UKIP voters are even slightly angry about faceless people telling them what to do or taking their place in the queue then lets have a conversation about policy (still no one has mentioned a UKIP policy they feel will do wonders for Wales) and stop that faceless/left-behind feeling.

UKIP have actually said on one of their websites that "the Welsh are not a people". Any Welsh person who votes for them clearly feels they are nothing but a serf in the greater colonial kingdom of England.

As someone who classes themselves as welsh (in a fairly minor sense), but could also qualify for England, Denmark and Ireland in football sense who should I vote for?

Not really interested in what happens to some ****ing bumpkins from Powys or Anglesey so why would I care about voting for a party who looks after them?

(I didn't vote ukip either by the way)

Never voted tory in my life, but I just love the attitude of people who think you must be right wing if you disagree with them. I have more interest in what happens in Barnsley, Stoke and Middlesbrough than Swansea, West Wales and gogland. Hardly tory areas are they.

We have indeed had an election and the people decided that the labour party despite all the crap flying around , got the majority of the seats

I am fairly happy with that and over the moon the Tories failed to take their target seats

As for ukip people in the poorest areas of Wales , the upper valleys really are going to have a shock when the EU money that has helped in some ways build new roads and attract foreign investment to soften the blow of the decline of heavy industry are pissing on their own chips if they stick with ukip , who on the whole , hate the welsh

considering you were voting in a Welsh election, no elsewhere doesn't include areas of england,scotland or northern ireland.
