Oasis' reunion makes my bum hurt. And not in a good way.
Just got into the queue 16k ahead.
That would have been lucky . When i finally got to the front of the queue all I could buy was PLATINUM tickets
WTF are platinum tickets ? Well U 21 is the seat , up in the gods and as far away from the stage as you can get , just under £500 a ticket . If there are any other stupid people out there they are selling on stub hub for £1300 each .
I remember seeing them around 30 years ago in Cardiff . Don't think it was the Motorpoint , it was quite a small place , anyone else there that knows the venue ?
Saw a tribute band along side The Smiths and The Stone Roses a few weeks ago in the Tramshed. Not sure if that night can be beaten.:hehe:
Didn't manage to get any and I'm not at all bothered. Didn't really want to pay stupid money anyway.
I'll just keep the fading memory of the Astoria and TJs gigs instead and spend my money on something else.
It's a possibility if they stay together but if they don't release new music they'll become a tribute band to their former selves. I'm not sure if that's what they're doing now.
The overriding factor for their great reunion is Tory Gallaghers divorce. I see the super Mancunian heading home to Camden or wherever he's living now in London after earning his money.
The brothers can then resume their squabbles which let's be fair seems to keep them both happy.
I did the Astoria gig, they were raw as fuuck sound wise and at that time a breath of fresh air. Not sure the band appreciated some of the attention they got and they were dressed like ****ing scruffs.
Did anyone follow the dynamic pricing ticketmaster did?
Put 2 tickets in your basket for 135 each then takes you to checkout and they have trebled so you paying over 700 for 2 basic tickets. They said its just what airlines do and will carry on doing it.
Is this in football yet? I get dynamic pricing but it shouldn't be legal to change the prices while people are actually queuing for the advertised price.
Oh and needless to say many of the tickets are on viagogo etc for thousands. I'm a fan and started this thread but wouldn't pay more than the 135 (which is also extremely extortionate but for a one off I would)
I agree with you totally it should be illegal and Ticketmaster are a scummy company, but having worked for them for quite some time I can promise you they don't do this without the full approval of the artist, so some blame also needs to go there. Not like they are paying Oasis 70 quid a ticket and then pocketing the increase, the band and venue will both be very happy about this as they also get a much bigger piece of pie.
I got to the front of the queue with about 20 minutes of the game to yesterday .
I am trying to watch the game and not miss my turn .
Every selection says no tickets till I try PLATINUM tickets , now what the fxxx are PLATINUM tickets
Well they cost a smidgen under £500 each , you are as far from the stage as you possibly can be on the upper tier. U21( I didnt now this when I pressed "buy it now."
I can if I wish sell them on Stub hub , where the resale value is over £1300 each at the moment .
They were a lot of money but you only live once.
Really wanted to go - system and pricing is a disgrace.
So decided to go an see a tribute act in the Tramshed £23.

Probaby sound better anyway.
Why is this at the top of the forum if none of you fecking like them..FFS
It seems that this "dynamic pricing" thing could have been disabled if the artist(s) chooses to do so. Say no more.
Got tickets in the presale on Friday night for Wembley. Can't wait.
Apparently Cardiff City are set to trial dynamic pricing for the 2025/26 season. It'll be great to pay £2.37 to watch us play Crawley Town.
It would have been the Astoria, which used to be on Queen Street. Liam stormed off stage two or three times after having beer thrown over him by boisterous Cardiff City fans singing Nathan Blake songs.
One thing I remember being impressed by back then was how little equipment Oasis had. I’d seen Therapy play at the same venue a few weeks beforehand and they had an enormous bank of speakers. The contrast was stark. Oasis’s set-up was like a pub band in comparison, but the sound was decent and they were a lot more entertaining.
Although I enjoyed the first album, I was never a big Oasis fan, but my girlfriend at the time was so I saw them a few times, the last being in the Gloucester Leisure Centre. Those were the days…
Wasn't a fan back then but didn't mind them and have a few albums, would have liked to have seen them, Doris spent i/2 a day on the phone for tickets, but when they were around £300 (as being mentioned on FB) i told her to call it a day, much the same for the Roses, was never a fan but play their stuff quite often now.
Valencia have announced they're going to use it
