Re: BRISTOL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
We had them rattled. Even the press was working. We had good chance after good chance.
Let’s put another CB on and move our MoM out of position.
****ing idiot.

Re: BRISTOL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
I’d have taken a draw beforehand but we should have won that
-
Re: BRISTOL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
A point's not bad but could have been 3. Think he's just cost himself his chance of staying on as manager.
-
Re: BRISTOL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Riza cost us the three points today. We were in total control and none of the players taken off looked tired
-
Re: BRISTOL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Thought Siopis and Rino did well to be fair. Take a point all day, but we should’ve been 2 or 3 up before the distastrous changes.
-
Re: BRISTOL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
I'd have taken the point but those subs were crazy. We were on top and playing as well as I've seen us this season.
Bonkers.

Bizarre. Robinson was really putting the defence under pressure. Then we just leave a jaded Colwill there which allows them all the time they need.
Recovered well mind, I expected the Alamo.

Re: BRISTOL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
A point fair overall but at 1 0 bristol were ready to lose that 4 0. Their fans on their backs and us all over them.
Riza bottled it and exposed himself as the total chancer he is.

Only thinking-football people would come to that conclusion. Our board are probably impressed.

Re: BRISTOL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
yes the subs were a disaster, but at least he had us looking dangerous in attack to begin with.
should ha e held his nerve, but that's a lesson for next time

Good point (unfortunately)

Re: BRISTOL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
A good week, but it should have been a great week, no thanks to Riza. There is something to build off given what we saw after half time, but we need that appointment very quickly.
-
Re: BRISTOL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Really good game with, believe it or not, a City team playing exciting football, but you can’t get away from the fact that the manager messed up and completely handed the initiative to the opposition.

Good, he’s obviously clueless

Re: BRISTOL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Looks like what I came on to say has already been said multiple times, the subs and formation change were nuts. I do like Robertson and Ralls as a pairing, though the space between them and the defence worries me. There seems to be a good chemistry between Colwill, Robinson and Tanner, Colwill was brilliant again, if only he could improve his shooting, I like how he's using is size and strength to hold off the opposition. Chambers should be dropped for Daland.

Re: BRISTOL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
The guy who scored had a Go go gadget neck.
Was he related to the long hands man. 😂
-
Re: BRISTOL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
O'Dowda’s poor defending cost us in the end. He had 2 chances to clear the ball and then allowed the winger to get a cross in.
-
Re: BRISTOL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Up until our first subs I was really enjoying the second half
-
Re: BRISTOL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Typical Cardiff.
1-0 up then hang on for a draw.
Wrong subs at wrong time.

Yes but this team is never one of the worst in championship history as results were under bulut.
Riza has picked the team us fans would and we doing ok. Not great but ok. It wasnt complicated was it?
Decent manager and we will be fine.

Not with finishing like we’ve seen in the past week - the difference between Bulut and Riza is that we’re getting.chances now, but this means that we’re having more chances to show how poor our finishing is.

We created plenty under bulut. I never saw any myself just know from his press conferences. :hehe:

Honestly, Kanga looks like someone who's arrived on loan and is just going to collect his wages. Unfortunately our 'bench' wasn't great. A Reindorf or Ashford would have given us more options later on..

Re: FT: BRISTOL CITY 1 - 1 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
A point a fair result but very strange substitutions, although the players have to take some responsibility for not putting the game to bed.
Brizzle were bound to have a spell of pressure at some point, but it was far too easy for them to get crosses into the box when we had a back 5.

Actually creating chances is a big step forward mind.
Also at least there is some entertainment after Buluts garbage.
We could do with Isaak Davies back ASAP.

I agree. I'd have both on the bench.

Re: FT: BRISTOL CITY 1 - 1 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
1. Riza should get nowhere near the top job - his clueless substitutions and change in system to handed them the initiative when they were on the ropes.
2. Colwill is the most frustrating player. One out of 5 times he plays a good ball or does something game changing, the other 4 times he just gives possession away. He just needs to shift it sideways to a blue shirt sometimes.
3. Kanga is a hopeless lost cause. He should be nowhere near the U21s, never mind the 1st team.
4. O'Dowda looks like he is scared of getting injured and doesn't fully commit to challenges.
5. Ralls gets slower by the week.
6. Good point but it should have been 3 relatively easy ones.
-
Re: FT: BRISTOL CITY 1 - 1 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
The positive from today is that a) we’ve got enough talent for a decent manager to at least get us out of the bottom 3 and b) it won’t be Riza after the tactical changes he made.

Very harsh on Colwill.

In addition to the worldie, Tanner did some good defensive work. He looked gutted to be taken off.

Especially as we haven’t got a game for 2 weeks, plenty of recovery time

Him and Colwill link up well. More composure , game time and they should get better.
Their play should have been rounded off by 2 more goals.
However even today with them 2 being the main positives they are getting criticised.

Colwill gives the ball away quite often because he tries the sort of high tariff passes which we have been notoriously bad at for years, as he’s better at playing them than any of our other players, I’m all for him continuing to do it.

Maybe that contributed to his 66th minute aberration?
Still wouldn't have wanted him mind. He's one of Bulut's team.

Exactly. We passed the ball sideays endlessly under Bulut and where did that get us?
Colwill was outstanding today, he took the game by the scruff of the neck. He was beating players, using his physicality to ride challenges, winning the ball back and he set up our goal. I just cannot understand the constant negativity from some posters towards him. He's our best midfielder by an absolute mile and he proved it today.
