Thanks, interesting. Seems like it wasn’t as clear cut as some have suggested.
As for the ref being whistle-happy, there seemed to be a lot of moaning in the stands yesterday about him letting too much go. He made a couple of decisions that looked questionable from where I was sitting, but nothing major. I didn’t think he was terrible.
Thing is, the game is so quick these days and so many players either hit the deck following the slightest touch or just engage in outright cheating to get decisions that the officials have an increasingly difficult task.
I fully accept we see some poor and inconsistent performances from officials at this level, just as we see poor and inconsistent performances from the players. I just believe the moaning and criticism goes way over the top and it’s definitely increased in recent years, or at least that’s how it seems to me.

He was constantly the centre of attention , his decisions made him that way .A better referee would have given us a better spectacle to watch .
You thought he was decent ?

Did I say that?
I thought he had a decent game when we played Millwall a few weeks ago. On Saturday, I didn't think he was especially good or bad. But I thought the crowd's continual whinging was pathetic.
