Re: SUNDERLAND v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
NG has cut out the shithousary lately to be fair
-
Re: SUNDERLAND v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Mandavaark needs to be more aggressive there. He can't let it bounce like that.
-
Re: SUNDERLAND v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Robinson had to give it wide there.
-
Re: SUNDERLAND v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Regardless of results, it’s so much better watching us than it has been for years. I enjoy watching us again.

I’m glad they took Mundle off

Re: SUNDERLAND v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Gone all defensive again, not sure it’s too soon , we’re so shaky when we drop deep
-
Re: SUNDERLAND v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
That was never a free kick in a million years!

Ffs piss poor defending. I hate 3 at the back. It never works for us.

And there you go, another soft goal

Hmmmm

Re: SUNDERLAND v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Goutas is NEVER EVER in position when the ball is in our own 6 yard box
-
Re: SUNDERLAND v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
We've lost the midfield now with those changes.
Every bloody time.
-
Re: SUNDERLAND v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Honestly felt like we had a chance of snatching it and he brings off Robinson for Fish. Trying to settle for a point and leaving with none!!

We’ve tried this before and it never works , why keep persisting with it, we were doing okay 2nd half, now we can’t get out of our half
-
Re: SUNDERLAND v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
This is probably the 4th or 5th game this season where we've gone defensively too soon and it's cost us point's.

We’ve now lost all shape and any attacking impetus

Re: SUNDERLAND v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
We are a poor football team
-
Re: SUNDERLAND v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
We haven’t looked like creating anything since the changes. He got it wrong going defensive.
-
Re: SUNDERLAND v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Riza cost us again today.
I like him but his decision making at time is so niave.
-
Re: SUNDERLAND v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
A wasted opportunity that, really wasn’t impressed by that Sunderland team.
-
Re: SUNDERLAND v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Meekly accepting our fate once we went 2-1 down - another bad day for our manager.
-
Re: SUNDERLAND v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Shame. Could have nicked a point there and we made it difficult for Sunderland. But the better team won.

Did you see the defending for the free kick? About 7 players switched off. I don't know what a manager or a coach can do about that. It was always going to be something daft, but that was so poor, especially after all the hard work.

What you mean is he is better than that clown Bulut so we have to put up with it.

We had them rattled without really creating too much. We did well at playing higher up the pitch and disrupting them.

do we need some more vocal leaders on the pitch - I'm not sure we really have anyone in that mould at the moment

Re: FT: SUNDERLAND 2 - 1 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Very disappointed to have lost that. Zero points from Burnley & Sunderland when we had plenty of opportunity to get a draw in both. Schoolboy errors & defending. Worked really hard & lost to simple mistakes.
-
Re: FT: SUNDERLAND 2 - 1 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
We’ve got lucky with other results today. Stoke, Plymouth, Luton all losing and Hull drawing.
Derby is an annoying one though.
-
Re: FT: SUNDERLAND 2 - 1 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Our board won't act but they should. Riza should never be in this position.
I think he will take us down.

Amazes me that the more bodies we have, the less they do their job.

Re: FT: SUNDERLAND 2 - 1 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Giving away an early goal again makes it's so difficult. Always going to be an uphill struggle.
Once they got their second there was only going to be 1 winner.

Totally agree with this. We don’t seem to have any vocal leaders. I think we were spoilt with Kav & Gunnar.

I don't know, i would probably say no. As a unit we switched off for the 2nd goal, that's what we do, that's what poor players do, they switch off. I don't know how anyone can fix that.
-
Re: SUNDERLAND v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
I make it that we had one attempt on goal in the second half. That was about as feeble a response to going behind as you're likely to see. What was the logic of changing formation when we know we can't defend?
