Get in! Would be too had not Stevenage scored in the 88th and 90th minute

I like Trott
He’s commanding. Good with his feet
Great key save then

Re: AFC WIMBLEDON v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Awful refereeing. Clear breakaway stopped with no keeper back
-
Re: AFC WIMBLEDON v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Bit lucky that, but get in. Kind of game you need to win.
-
Re: AFC WIMBLEDON v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Bloody hell, we needed that bit of luck at the end then, but at least two penalties we should have been given. That scissors challenge 3 minutes in should have been a red.
-
Re: AFC WIMBLEDON v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Stevenage scored 88th and 91st min away to port vale to win 2-1 and keep 100% record
-
Re: AFC WIMBLEDON v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Ultimately deserved 3 points.
That ref was shocking. We were running towards an empty net at the end werent we when he blew for the free kick.

No, the better side won, despite the ref.

Re: AFC WIMBLEDON v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
What a relief. Made very hard work of that, and should have conceded but good win. 3 clean sheets in a row! Fish and Lawlor getting better

Re: FT: AFC WIMBLEDON 0 - 1 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Great to be in that away end. Well deserved for all those that have been at some of the awful showings last season

Stevenage are massively outperforming their xG, it won't last

Re: FT: AFC WIMBLEDON 0 - 1 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Deserved the 3 points there.
Hopefully some decent signings before the window closes.
I wouldn’t be averse offloading Robinson if we can get an effective back up for Salech.

Re: FT: AFC WIMBLEDON 0 - 1 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Fortunate. But we deserved it. Fair play to Wimbledon for working their socks off, but our boys worked hard too. I thought they were out of gas for the last ten minutes. In hindsight maybe Robinson should have started and Salech could have replaced him. I don't know. I'm amazed at the drop in standard from the Championship to League One. With a few additions to the squad I see no reason why we can't be champions of this division.

If we didn’t win that we could have fairly blamed the ref.
Worst I’ve seen for some time

That scissor tackle 3 minutes in really was something out of Mortal Kombat. Scorpion should sue for gimmick infringement.

Didn’t think we were in the least bit fortunate tonight, one, possibly two penalties not given, Robinson had two good chances that were not put away, what did they really create?, thought the centre backs were outstanding and a word on Wintle, people talk about him finding his level, maybe true but he’s put a shift in every game and for me, has been showing real leadership to the kids around him.

Cracking win that. Played four won three drawn one. Banging. Onwards!

Re: FT: AFC WIMBLEDON 0 - 1 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
still have the most miserly defence in the league, and 5/6 of our goals have been scored by welsh former academy players

Apparently, of the 72 EFL clubs, we're the only team who has yet to concede from open play yet.
-
Re: FT: AFC WIMBLEDON 0 - 1 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Good all round performance lacking a cutting edge, otherwise would have been 3-0. Despite an awful ref we deserved the win.
Seem to have picked up a couple of injuries. Reinforcements needed sooner rather than later.

Re: FT: AFC WIMBLEDON 0 - 1 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
The passing and the build-up play was good, just missing the end product.

Agree. Wintle has perhaps been the standout player so far this season. Lawlor and Fish were both excellent tonight, as was Kapakio IMO. Our attacking players need to find something more in these type of games. The emotions this evening went from from 50 minuutes of quiet satisfaction, to 25 minutes of growing frustration, 10 minutes of nervous tension and then to 5 minutes of jubilation which made it all worthwhile- a good evening's entertainment.

I think Wintle is the only man in the squad to have played every minute of every game. His fitness levels are unbelievable.

Re: FT: AFC WIMBLEDON 0 - 1 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
According to the BBC report talking about the obvious penalty "stony faced referee David Rock was unmoved" - somebody has been waiting for a while to use that one.
To be fair, not sure an actual rock could have been much worse, he was fecking shite.
