Re: CARDIFF CITY v READING. Match thread
How many times are we going to give away possession in and around their area today?
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v READING. Match thread
OK, Trott really is gunning for my MOTM vote now!
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v READING. Match thread
WTF was that? Where would be without Trott?

chatGpt says 26 on average.

Shocking. Surely the manager's job is to say let's have a bit of common sense, hang onto the ball a bit. Instead of everybody running forward like Chickens with their heads cut off and then giving it away every time.
Trott has got to be player of the season so far in the entire division.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v READING. Match thread
Unbelievable performance from the man!

I'd say 6-2 behind

Re: CARDIFF CITY v READING. Match thread
This is a 9/10 performance from Trott easily. Could have done better on the goal, but other than that, has not put a foot or hand wrong.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v READING. Match thread
We seem to have no midfield. Trott keeping us in this - they could have scored a bucket load.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v READING. Match thread
Fish again!!! This is a painful watch!!
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v READING. Match thread
if only we had a midfield.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v READING. Match thread
Defensively, this is absolutely awful. Totally overrun in midfield, why hasn't he brought Wintle on? We will be nowhere near automatic promotion playing like we have the last 2 games.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v READING. Match thread
26 shots to 11 at home against a team in the bottom 4. Criminal. Thank feck for Trott.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v READING. Match thread
Midfield has been dire today. Probably need some reinforcements in January.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v READING. Match thread
Good win. But this team needs a bit of dog.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v READING. Match thread
A win and 3 points...i'm i happy no
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v READING. Match thread
Bitterly disappointed we lost that. Time for change. Hunt has to go.

I think you attacked well and completely schooled our midfield. Trott really was the only one who kept us in that.

We will, BBM knows that the standard in this division is poor, that we can concede chances because other sides lack quality, and we have that little bit more in the final third. He obviously doesn't mind leaving spaces and gaps In the middle for other teams to exploit because they rarely turn that advantage into goals. God knows what he will do when we come up against better players.

Re: FT: CARDIFF CITY 2 - 1 READING. Match thread
Colwills, especially Joel were poor today though.
Onward to Bolton away, should be a good one.

Funny we are over run in midfield as usual, didn’t Pearcey the Reading fan say they basically had no midfield ? And we still can’t compete. Is Turnball just too weak? Who is the problem?

3 goals Orient scored against us would say otherwise, plus another one today. Pure luck rather than any brilliant managerial plan, it can and will change.

Why are we playing a number 10 as a number 6? Turnbull can do a job as an 8, but playing him as a 6 is just silly.

That performance in the Championship would see you lose the game by 5 or 6. Reading didn't even have to be good to create chances. Somehow we are at the top of the table. The standard of L1 is dreadful.

Trott MOTM AGAIN!!! 👏 👏 👏
Proper smash and grab that.
A win and top of the league but it still doesn't feel right though.
Fish just has to come in for Osho as his confidence is shot and seems to be rubbing off on others.
Poor in the middle offensively and defensively.
I just hope BB-M sees it the same way.
Top of the league and still ain't 'appy! :hehe:

4 goals against Orient would also say otherwise.

Feel for you a bit Pearcey, you deserved something from that today looking very dangerous on umpteen occasions, especially after we went ahead.
You obvs know better as you have watched your team all season but if he does lose his job he will be very unlucky after todays performance.

It's incredible to say, isn't it. The better team lost. How the hell are we top?
Nathan Trott, if we can't sign you permanently, you deserve a big move.
Absolutely outstanding in all our games so far

I think reading are a pretty awful side.. Cardiff were dogsh,it in the first half and a little better in the second. You can judge your team by results.

We have that little bit of quality when it matters. I think it's that simple.

Such an awful side they bossed the game for long periods.

Re: FT: CARDIFF CITY 2 - 1 READING. Match thread
Does anyone know of another club that routinely changes one or both of its centrebacks every game?

It's bordering on the bizarre. What did Fish do to deserve being demoted to the bench?

I think its crazy. He really needs to play Fish / Lawlor .
However he can point to the league table.

You look a better team than your position suggests.
Lewis Wing best outfielder player on the pitch and thought young Savage was decent.
You keep playing like that you’ll climb the league.

Re: FT: CARDIFF CITY 2 - 1 READING. Match thread
When we won the league under Malky , Marshall won us many games that season.
Maybe the same again?
