Murphy on for Hoilett
Glatzel for Ralls

to rub salt in it Swans are 1-0 up at Preston...

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY. Match thread
4-4-2 now. Which we probably should have started with. Let's see if it makes any difference.

Merson: "no chance of anything happening (for Cardiff), they're really, really poor"
Keep the sharp knives away from him!

Should've allowed a midfield player a bit of license instead of trying to play with one man up front, incorporating the wide men. We are desperate for a midfield player who can break lines, he doesn't even have to be that creative. It's the main reason why we lose.

Harris has got this badly wrong-Lets hope a change in formation can work.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY. Match thread
First game of the season so a measured reaction needed. 4-4-2 would be my preference, think Glatzel and Moore together would be a massive headache for defenders.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY. Match thread
I’m sorry but this has been really poor so far. We had pace on the right hand side with the 2 new signings but we’ve persisted in lumping long balls! We’ve hardly troubled Wednesday at all. The players are lucky there’s no fans in the ground to witness this. I know it’s only the first game and I’m sure things will improve but this kind of performance from very well played players isn’t acceptable.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY. Match thread
It's got a very pre season feel to it from City's point of view.
Two awful goals to concede and we've created very little at the other end.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY. Match thread
Bizarrely between the goals we played okay in the first half. However been awful 2nd half, no shape and no threat at all at goal whatsoever against what looks like a very average sheff wed side

I would think that Ralls could play that role.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY. Match thread
Morrison is our chance. He needs to gee them up as usual for the last 15

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY. Match thread
Are we playing 5-3-2? At 70 minutes and 2-0 down?

Because there's no threat from the middle. Monk has done Harris, he knows we play with one up front, don't allow our central midfielders the opportunity to leave the halfway line, monk has just pushed a defender into midfield to stop us playing, no service for the wide players, **** all opportunity to turn their defence and get Moore involved-piece of piss tactics. It's glaringly obvious what is going on. We can't completely rely on Tomlin to create, he's good, but **** me, he can't be the answer all of the time.

Not sure, we need someone with a bit of pace who is strong on the ball, a player who imposes himself for better or worse. Harris has had a shitter today.

That's a cutting remark

80 minutes gone and Wednesday are starting to to take the piss. Monk has certainly outmanaged Harris today.

Spot on-Simple for him as well.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY. Match thread
Goes to show with our strikers the problem appears to be creativity and service into them rather than the player being bad.
We have given Moore absolutely nothing today. We should have sorted this out in the break and if we don't it will be a long season based on this.
We can't rely on this and bringing Tomlin on as our one creative spark every game.
