Re: Sayings That People Get Wrong
Instead of "I have received a lot of texts of this bird" some, illiterate monkeys prefer to say "textses". These people are Vermin. Either that or Gollum.
Also, I realise it's not a saying, but still, these people are retards, and need dealing with.

People tend to say 'breakfass' so in the plural they say 'breakfasses'. I've heard that quite a lot too.

Another one that ****s me off.
Instead of saying "ask", some cretins actually pronounce the word "aks". These people would have been left outside the city walls centuries ago and left to fend for themselves.

Yes - quite true - no need for the apostrophe but I'm not interested in grammatical or punctuational (?) errors - i'm interested in phrases/sayings that we misuse - simples.

You come over as terribly serious at times - and you miss what is sometimes simple joshing.
Sorry, I don't mean to be. But how do you know when I am being serious? http://www.ccmb.co.uk/images/smiley_icons/shrug.gif

Did you know that you could probably save yourself 6 months of your life if you dropped this unnecessary punctuation mark. This would not apply if you were to die within the next six months - sorry. http://www.ccmb.co.uk/images/smiley_icons/homer.gif

Nucular for nuclear, math for maths (I wasn't at all surprised to hear Adrian Childs say "math" on air this week).
Not a wrong saying as such, but why have people started using "going forward" when talking about the future in the last few years - Russell Slade is a serial "going forward" user.
