I would have thought that the reception cost British taxpayers very, very little money in the grand scheme of things.
I believe that a reception in the Capital of Wales was entirely appropriate, its just a crying shame hardly anyone turned up.
Surely your best friend and god daughter would have told you about the reception knowing how important she was to you.

Perhaps she has a restraining order and that's the real reason he was unable to attend.
Nevermind I'm sure last nights faux outrage wI'll be replaced with a new topic of outrage once he gets swigging the Rioja later.

Her father is not my best friend - I would be grateful if you could point me to where I stated that he was my best friend. Furthermore, his daughter is not my God Daughter - Again I would appreciate it of you could point me to where I have suggested that.

A summary that has been carefully worded, and TBF is spot on, surely.

They didn't have one in York for the Yorkshire Athletes who according to the Yorkshire BBC website actually came 13th (one place below their 2012 medals table spot) in the medals table, above Spain, New Zealand and Canada.
The lack of turn interest in Wales for a Team GB in the Olympics. The event was well advertised on news websites and mentioned on TV news regularly over the last week or so.

The event certainly was not well advertised. Far from it.

I also heard it talked about on Radio Cymru and Radio Wales.

Very poorly advertised event as several posters have said and as evidenced by the lack of numbers attending on the night.

Drop a line to Welsh Government, perhaps they'll send you a personal invite if they have another one.
Seriously, what more than advertise it on the BBC Wales website and the local Welsh Newspaper website, along with Welsh Radio could they have done to advertise it? Mainstream BBC were never going to advertise it because it was irrelevant to them. If you want to know what's happening in Wales listen/watch/read programmes/articles relevant to Wales.
I knew about it well in advance, and took the conscious decision that it was irrelevant to me, so did not attend.

I'm pleased you caught the publicity, I didn't.
I respect your decision not to attend.

Your constant abuse is childish and quite frankly utterly pathetic.
You really are going to be the death of this message board.
Proud?
My guess is that you probably are.
