In fact in what is going to be a scrap I think he will be one we can rely on.
I didn't suggest he was THE problem, I've already made the point that we're short in a number of areas.
I'm questioning why we're still hanging onto players like him after having had years to realise that they're not good enough at this level.

I don’t see it, we have plenty of options with the exception of upfront.

Pleased that Robinson's got one, hopefully he'll get a lot more with the right support and system.

You don't see that we're short at centre-back or left-back? Or left midfield?

Re: FT: CARDIFF CITY 1 - 1 BURNLEY. Match thread
On another topic....I would be happy to see any one or more of these teams promoted....top three

Also..watching West Ham v Wolves...SO refreshing not to be watching sideways/backwards passing....

We have Bagan and the Everton lad who can play left back and NG can cover (not to mention we are paying Collins)
We have Kipre, NG, Simpson, Nelson Denham at centre back
We have Romeo and NG can cover right back, another would be nice but hardly short.
We have plenty of wide players who can fill in, doesn’t matter what foot they are they can either get to the line or cut inside.
It’s the managers job to get the best out of them.

I think in a squad hes good enough for this level.

I don't, but it's obviously okay for us to agree to disagree.
Personally, I think we've had almost 5+ years to replace the likes of Harris with better players, and it frustrates me that we haven't. It's been that long that fans have considered him not good enough.
Why are we still carrying players like that on our books?
Harris could have regular football and a great career at a lower level for sure. He has the work rate, no question of that. He doesn't have the technical ability for this league though, and there's no question about that either.

I’d be amazed if Burnley finished the season there. They were very poor.
I hope everyone has got Gavin Whyte out of their system. :hehe:

Re: FT: CARDIFF CITY 1 - 1 BURNLEY. Match thread
I came away from the game not sure how good Burnley are, and how weak we are. They really didn't trouble us at all, looked devoid of ideas, but maybe that was down to us being better defensively today. If we could have picked out a decent final ball and had a Championship standard striker to partner Robinson, we could have won convincingly.

Agreed, and there’s no centre forward. Robinson is a good player but he’s not an out and out striker. I’d snap your hands off for 21st. We have zero creativity in midfield and we are really short of options going forwards. All of our subs today made the team significantly worse, bar maybe Simpson who was fine.

Re: FT: CARDIFF CITY 1 - 1 BURNLEY. Match thread
Strange game. 0--0 would have been a better reflection of both sides' attacking prowess. Thought Romeo was our MOM, and we generally defended well and kept our shape. However we offered zero threat going forward- thankfully the defender made a hash of a clearance and we capitalised- the only way we were going to score today was from a defensive error. Still I'd have taken a point before the match so hopefully we can push on from here.

Right
Good point against a side who were not that good but will probably be top six
It looked like with a few additions we could have been a top ten side
But clearly we are in a relegation battle
This season will be a success by finishing where we are in the table today

And not being humiliated by Swansea

Re: FT: CARDIFF CITY 1 - 1 BURNLEY. Match thread
I thought that both sides were very similar in set up, lots of knocking it about but bugger all in the vital areas. This Nkoukou though, looks marvellous (sort of) when attacking but his massive drawback is lighting a fag and getting the Echo out when the ball is moved back towards our goal. Their forward on the right hand side was putting his Burnley Evening News down, outing his fag knowing if he received the ball it was no restrictions all areas.

Re: FT: CARDIFF CITY 1 - 1 BURNLEY. Match thread
Burnley pass the ball well which is no surprise given they have spent several years in the top flight
I think it was a good point on reflection
You head the ball down like that from a decent cross and it's a goal almost every time
It's nice to see

Re: FT: CARDIFF CITY 1 - 1 BURNLEY. Match thread
Yes, decent enough point v a very ordinary Burnley.
We looked solid and kept our shape well, but the deficiencies that have been there since the start of the season are still there.
I don’t think we’ve got the players to improve things, we can just hope that Hudson has enough about him to keep nicking the odd win and away from the bottom 3 until January when he may be able to offload a few and bring in a decent left back and 2 strikers.

Do you think it would be anymore that if Morison was here?
They maybe ordinary but still 4th best in the league.
