That was a lot of fun.
Please don’t make us wait one whole year for another performance like that.

Looks like we've got one hell of a player in Robertson.

Well that was exciting. I forgot what it waskme watching entertaining football.
The midfield three were excellent and I thought everyone was brilliant all around.
Colwill MOM he was just a different class.

Re: FT: CARDIFF CITY 5 - 0 PLYMOUTH ARGYLE. Match thread
What a joy that was to watch!
The match began with a few warning signs after a decent spell from Cardiff, as Plymouth somehow cut through our defence and midfield with ease. Thankfully, Obafemi couldn’t finish. But once Cardiff clicked, there was no looking back. Robertson’s beautifully placed opener, set up by Colwill’s patient play to create the space, gave us the breakthrough we needed.
Watching Robinson, Colwill, and Tanner in full flow is something else. Their sharp passing and movement created chance after chance, keeping Plymouth’s defence on the back foot. And that was all before Ng, in typical fashion, managed to provoke Cissoko into a red card, adding to the drama.
At half-time, I feared Riza might take a cautious, defensive approach, but he kept the pressure on. Cardiff continued to press forward, never letting Plymouth off the hook as they pushed for more goals.
Even after the substitutions, Cardiff didn’t let up. Yes, they were against 10 men, but it’s been so long since we’ve seen our team really go for it like this and come away with a scoreline that truly reflected the performance.
For me, Robertson stood out today, keeping things tight in midfield and always driving us forward. And Colwill, once again, showed just how wrong Bulut was not to put his trust in him. If he keeps this form going into the international break, it would be a shock if Bellamy doesn’t include him in the squad.
On to the next one, and if performances like this keep coming, I might just stop questioning the decision to stick with Riza. From 1 point in 6 to 7 in 4, he’s done a remarkable job lifting this team!

put a decent dent in our negative goal difference today, we needed it.

Re: FT: CARDIFF CITY 5 - 0 PLYMOUTH ARGYLE. Match thread
Fair play Riza. I wasn't sure about a couple of his selections today but it certainly worked. Completely different mindset from a few weeks ago. Great to see.

Agree. I had sunk into the 'glass half-empty' mindset. Now, with the addition of Daland, Fish, and some minutes for Reindorf, there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel.

Sky commentator mentioned that Gavin Rae is his uncle. Now you know where he gets his talent from.

the whoscored website generates a score out of 10 for each player, based on stats - ive no idea how it works, and largely meaningless, but today they've given Rubin 9.5 and Robertson 9.4 which are the highest Cardiff player ratings that I can recall on there on years

Re: FT: CARDIFF CITY 5 - 0 PLYMOUTH ARGYLE. Match thread
I’ve experienced a strange ‘feeling today.
I watched an entertaining football match, admiring my team’s performance, and at no point did I silently scream at our ineptitude.
Even Kanga generated a “laugh out loud” moment, rather than a “throw your hands up in despair” moment.

Am I going to be the first to ask? My memory is shot to s**t, when did we last score five?
I can remember beating Oxford 5-0 in 1970-71 and I was there when we put 8 past Ebbw Vale.

Apparently Rotherham in 2017 remember sticking six on derby one game at the new stadium before that

According to the BBC it was the best win since 2017, but it doesn't give any details.

Sorry by the way I meant ROBERTSON 🥵 but, in fairness, Robinson (as all the team) was very good today

According to WOL "It's the first time Cardiff have scored five goals in the league since Rotherham in February 2017, which gives you some sort of scale of the achievement supporters saw at Cardiff City Stadium today. In fact, it's the first time Cardiff have won by more than a goal for a year, since beating Bristol City at home in October last year. "

His mum's sister is married to Gavin Rae so he is not a blood relation.
It is much more likely that he gets his football talent from his own dad, who was a professional footballer.
