Into the hat.
Most entertaining part were the subtitles on S4C. So many typos, it was like an episode of 'Allo 'Allo! at times.
Fudge - Foot
Paternity - Penalty
Asparagus - As far out as
Wind - Win
Girl - Goal
Crimes - Crumbs
Italy - Early
School - Score
To name a few in the final 10 mins. or so.

Haha for some reason I couldn't get rid of the subtitles.
Saw Ched Evans and crimes mentioned in the same sentence

We’ve never lost to Liverpool in the FA Cup.
2 wins out of 2.

Re: FT: CARDIFF CITY 2 - 1 PRESTON NORTH END. AET
We usually play well against them....my first full season supporting them....1958/9
3-2 (amd we scored all five goals..)win at home and 4-0 win away...... ah...those were the days...how history diverges...

that was the last time we beat them.
1959
we've lost the last 6 in a row against them conceding 18 goals

Re: FT: CARDIFF CITY 2 - 1 PRESTON NORTH END. AET
Mark Harris asked in the post match interview who he wanted in the draw: answer - Liverpool away!
He's on fire!
Just checked the Preston club match report and the Lancs Live report. Neither made anything of the Nelson foul or hand ball (delete according to taste) and there didn't seem to be much reaction from the Preston bench or players either. Neither did anyone claim Sang was offside for the Harris winner.
Preston club site also managed to accurately identify Ciaron Brown as the reason for their pelanty - unlike the BBC blog and Lancs Live who are convinced it was Sean Morrison. If Pack hadn't had a haircut I reckon he would have been in on the identity parade too.

It was a draw. They won the tie, but not the match.

Morison should give him a start just for that remark alone.

Wasn’t the 4-0 away win 1962 Bill Shankly’s first game in charge?

Yup. The FA Cup draw on ITV was more exciting than watching that with no fans.

Nope, it was 1959, they took our place in the top flight in 1962, they went up as champions of division 2 alongside Leyton Orient while we were relegated with Chelsea in 1961/62 season.

Me too to be fair. But as I confessed earlier, I nodded off during halftime. It's just the lack of fans that sent me to sleep.

No we don't. We need to play Sang in his rightful position of central midfield.

Yes not a full back for me, plenty were flying past him for pace earlier the season there.
Would be good to see him in midfield.

Sang was well onside. Half a yard onside when the pass was made to him that led to the Harris goal.

Re: FT: CARDIFF CITY 2 - 1 PRESTON NORTH END. AET
I thought we played well...eventually. I'm not sure what changes Preston made, but apart from a couple of scares (and the penalty) we coped fairly easily with them. No reason why we shouldn't be climbing the tables. Maybe we should stick to playing behind closed doors.
