Another cracking goal - Evans makes it 2-0.

Yes, I think so - February seems to be the month when Academies make a decision on whether to give scholars a pro contract.

Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
Cameron McWilliams has looked lively whenever I've seen him recently, he can't be far off from his chance to be an unused substitute

Millwall striker sent off after off ball incident involving Tomlin

Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
the trialist has looked very good.
strong, quick, tall but not seen him in the air much. passing with either foot, although I think left is his preferred, and carrying the ball out of the defence when the space is there

The Millwall No 6 on the floor as if he was the victim of something. Ref speaks to linesman, talks to captains, gives Tomlin a telling off for something. Ref about to restart when the linesman calls him over again, they talk and he calls the Millwall No 9 to him and shows a red card! Odd!

Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
Got to be for something he said to the linesman surely. Odd one, Millwall goes down with Tomlin nearby, but the ref takes no action and then, after further consultation with the linesman shows a red card to someone who was yards away at the time of the original incident.
City under 23s have been good for a few weeks now, but, so far, this is the best I've seen from them at this level for a long time.

Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
Tomlin looks like someone's dad joining in with his sons mates
-
Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
Brilliant goals, especially the first one. Team is playing really well. Tomlin does look out of place mind you.

there seems to be more intensity than when I've seen it previously probably due to there now being a visible path from the academy into the first team

That rain looks torrential. It's sunny up here in Costa del Abergavenny.

Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
3-0 - a goal for sub Taz Mayembe.
-
Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
Final score 3-0, much worse conditions in a quiet second half.

Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
I thought Evans did well, as well as McWilliams first half, and the giant triallist

Yes, I thought Evans was our best player today.

I thought it was close between him and the mystery number 5.
Was a great hors d'oeuvres anyway, let's hope tonight's main course is just as entertaining.

Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
I suppose there must be some doubt as to whether it will go ahead with all of the rain we've had, but there's scheduled to be a Cardiff v Swansea Under 18 game at Leckwith today, kick off at 11, where we'll be looking for revenge after the 3-1 away defeat we suffered early in the season.

Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
Good to see Taz (who scored the first one - Frazer Thomas scored the second) getting some game time now after a first half to the season where he barely featured.
