True. Have done too often.

Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
2-1 at half time, Watters had a decent chance, but rather snatched at it and knocked it well wide.
-
Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
Charlton's pressing, passing and movement was better than ours, we gave the ball away too much, gave them two goals and when we did get up the pitch our decision making was off. #CardiffDNA
Edit: hopefully we'll be better second half #alsoCardiffDNA

FT 6-1. A difficult watch. Morison in.

apparently he's made his first team debut already and signed a professional deal with them. could be one to watch

Apparently so.
Definitely.

Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
I suppose you need to keep today’s defeat in some sort of perspective. A much stronger under 23 side than today’s featuring many of those youngsters who have played for the first team this season were beaten 6-1 at home by Coventry almost a year ago to the day. However, it is a bit galling when you think back to how well the under 23s (a much different team to the one seen today) were playing up to December - I suppose that, as far as qualifying for the Play Offs goes, the early season side was too successful for its own good.

Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
2-0 home defeat for the under 18s by Sheffield Wednesday, the season’s petering out for them and the under 23s.

Must be injured because he’s under contract to 2024 - will he be another of those loaned out next season?
-
Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
1-1 quite well into the second half, City’s equaliser in the fifty fifth minute was an own goal.
-
Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
2-1 final score. Isaac Jefferies with a late winner. Good response to last week's thrashing.

Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
Couple of trialists coming in. Looks like one played today. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/...ready-23777163

Think that keeps our outside chances of a Play Off place alive, but the table I saw might well be out of date. Good win anyway with what was a young side for this level.

Think this one's up to date. Yes, still a chance of a playoff spot. https://www.flashscore.com/team/card...gef/standings/

Bakare and D’almeidha both released on the weekend

Not surprised by the latter, but am by Bakare - we didn’t seem to know what D’Almeida’s best position was in his last couple of years here.

I thought both had a chance of making it with us, perhaps Bakare isn't good enough with the ball, and D'Almeida definitely suffered from being played in multiple positions, including as one of Mick McCarthy's many RWBs.
Both still young enough to prove us wrong

Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
Bakare’s release is a head scratcher??
Tavio’s unfortunately not so Paul
Going forward I hope Kieron Evans spell in Northern Ireland having lumps kicked out of him moulds him into a tougher midfielder we can definitely do with playing regular first team football next season
-
Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
Very surprised about Bakare. He captained the U23s last week too.
-
Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
Only just noticed that the under 23s are home today against Crewe, kick off at one and it’s on the club website.
Wonder if either of those trialists from last week will be involved?

3 triallists involved. Cian Ashford on the bench.
Mr and Mrs Triallist must be very proud
-
Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
If D'Almeida is being released, why is he playing today?
-
Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
No chance of a playoff spot now, with Ipswich winning on Friday. We can catch Bristol City on points but their goal difference is 14 better than ours with 1 game each left.
Still a good season for them though, especially with so many breaking through to senior football, with us and elsewhere.

Maybe we needed him to make a sensible formation.
No point trying to assess the triallists in a team that doesn't work
-

Hearing Kieron Evans has been told to find another club

A shame, he was good in his little cameo at Fulham
Anything on Bowen? He impressed when he was playing under Mick earlier this season, a shame if he's moved on as well

Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
The trialist wearing no 8 has started well. Think it's Qureshi (from Brighton).

I like the look of the number 3 as well.
Crole almost scored too

2 decent efforts from Crole.

Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
D'Almeida doing well as well.
Colwill seems to spend a lot of time walking
