Somewhere out there, there is another Jamie Vardy. This might be him

Link I read said he's for the u23 but he may end up in the first team pretty quickly

Think Laurent would be a good signing, Smith not so sure about and I think O’Dowda would be worth the gamble.
To be fair to Steve Morison, he's not letting the grass grow is he. Early days and a lot of players to go, but we seem to havehit the gr ound running so far.
I am sure Smith will not be our only striker (we will need at least three preferably four to provide competition).

I hear that he can turn on a sixpence.

We've already got 4 - how many do you want?

I mean 4 decent strikers
You think the four we have are good enough???
Collins will probably be going and I can't see him being part of the first team squad anyway
Zimba will be sent on loan again for at least the first six months.
So that is down to 2
Watters hasn't proved himself yet
Harris ditto, and he has had more chances than Watters. has shown some promise, but not proved himself at championship level

We have Harris, Davies, Collins and Watters, I wasn't even including Zimba.
They'll definitely look to bring in at least one more, in the Hugill mould, but I cannot see up bringing in 4, unless we manage to move on Collins, Watters and Harris, which might not be that easy.

I still think of Davies as an attacking midfielder rather than an out and out striker, but It obviously depends how Morison sees him
I'm sure we could move Collins, Watters and Harrison out on loan if nothing else

Isaak Davies is not an AM. Wide forward is probably his best position.

I was going from RJK's table in the Current Squad thread where he has Davies as an AM/W and a striker.
But on reflection you are correct that he is more of a winger than AM strictly

A few reports that Celtic and Leeds are interested in Japhet Matondo (from our U18s, Rabbi's brother).

Ah, just seen he's been mentioned in previous posts in this thread.
Big step up for the lad.
Good luck to him though and welcome Elsie

Due to his level told expect him to go into the u23 but with links to Spurs you'd have to hope it won't be too long before we see what he's about in the senior team? Seems a bit old for a team like spurs to get him, they can loan him out etc but you can only hope its because he's got something about him

I'm wondering if we've offered him a route to first teal football rather than u23, which is why he's come here rather than spurs

It does seem possible, probably is what's happening but I just thought because of the level he's come from I thought they may try him in the u23 first, but he's going to have a full pre season to show what he can do so you may well be spot on.

Spoken like you'd heard of him before you read this thread.
Fair play.
