It must be great being employed as a footballer. You can make dreadful mistakes, make little effort and it all gets blamed on a bloke on the touch line.

exactly, it's just a classic side in a bad run reaction

people would be on here moaning that he didnt make a substitution when it was obvious Willock was done if he hadn't done anything

Re: FT: STOKE CITY 2 - 2 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
So, no wins in seven games and top-of-the-table Sheffield United up next.
Ho hum.

I'm not in the 'Riza out' camp by any means, but I think he's made the subs because he felt he should, not because he needed to. Willock wasn't 'done' and was our only effective outlet to keep possession in the Stoke half.

Just a question, will you be happy if City keep losing?
-
Re: FT: STOKE CITY 2 - 2 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
The injuries keep piling up, so I suppose some encouragement should be taken from Willock having what I thought was his best game for us by a distance, Kanga actually looking like a footballer when he came on and Meite showing more of the improved form from him we saw at Coventry - now I wonder if any of them can repeat it in a home game?

Free hit really. Can't see anyone with any sense see City picking up any points?
Now the Oxford game on Boxing Day is looking important.
Lose that...

2 mistakes from Alnwick but I know he pulled out a few quality saves.
Shame really

Good performance from the lads though. Chambers is still a liability at the back for me.
He came for the ball and you can see halfway through the run up he's thought Bollocks...... He knows he hasn't got a chance, the delivery was good, the space was crowded and the ball wasn't hit with a lot of pace, It's on Alnwick and if he's going to come, then he has to be aggressive to stand any chance of even creating enough of a problem to offset the attacking player. A word for those defending the set piece, piss weak, didn't even try to compete for the ball.

Decent recent away form. Unlucky not to get 6pts from last 2. Our luck will surely change before long.

What was he thinking for their second goal?!
95 mins on the clock and no need to come for the ball. Absolute stupidity.

Apart from the poor performances, both collectively and individually, it's the continuous mistakes that need sorting out, because we are being punished regularly. Players make poor decisions when they are low on confidence, we go a goal down and you can see it drain out of some of our lot. Another problem is the lack of creativity. Our creative players have one manual it seems, if it works then great, when it doesn't they have absolutely no idea how to mix it up, think differently, use some intelligence in order to break the opposition, they continue to do the same things with the same result, because in my opinion they're daft, they lack the intelligence needed at pivitol moments during a game. It;s all well and good looking the part when things are going our way. Defensively we don't work hard enough as a unit. just my opinion.

I suppose. But…..it will feel like a defeat plus we need to be beating the absolute dross that is around us and somehow managed to get ourselves into a position to do so today.
Amateurish.

We were lucky to beat Norwich and lucky to get points at both West Brom and Sheffield Wednesday. Swings and roundabouts. Let’s be honest, this side certainly isn’t in a relegation scrap due to luck or a lack of it.

Never been a fan of Alnwick, he's so slow with ball distribution never any urgency not to mention the wrong decisions he makes.

3 points from a possible 21, why would anyone think that this is okay is beyond belief
Ifs and ands and all that, we’ve lead in three away game only for them to come back and equalise
If you gain a point away it’s little use if you lose 3 on the bounce at home, especially to sides that were on a poor run before they came to us.
For those that think it isn’t on Riza fair play to you for being so optimistic
3 points from 21 is relegation form in anyone’s book and is a result of having probably the most least qualified person for the role ever.
But never mind he’s a really nice guy apparently 🤷*♂️
